Hello! Welcome to the forum.
Next time when you're thinking about donating / dumping your coins, can you please send them my way. Thanks you ! 🤗

Hello everyone, as I am a big fan of cast silver, I treated myself to this 15 oz. Frankenstein from the Monarch Mint USA.
Have a nice day everyone, best regards from Maxe.

Some of the recent purchases. As usual, Perth's Swan is outstanding, will buy some more in silver and will need one in gold as well.

Hello everyone!
After selling/donating/dumping almost all my worldly possessions (including coins) a few years back, aside from anything I could attach to my bicycle, I've decided to begin collecting some coins again. This is just a hobby which hopefully will be cost neutral as a minimum - unlike my other hobbies!
This forum looks like a great resource to see what's available, so I hope to gain and eventually share some knowledge.

Then stop constantly telling people what price to buy at.

You are very very wrong but I won't try to explain why.

Picked up a 1928 Saint Gaudens in an old NGC slab graded MS62.
Have been wanting to own one of these classic coins for a while.
Only noticed the white fluff at 8 o'clock inside the slab when taking the photo ! 🙄

Got this 2001 1/4 oz Britannia a little over spot, just in time before the surge in price of AU.
I saw it was a low mintage coin supposedly only 1,100 made so grabbed it.

You used to snap up the bargains on here in milli-seconds, before anyone gets a chance to read the post.
What's wrong, old age grandad ?! 😁

I started coin collecting as a hobby in my early teens and can't remember what my first silver piece was.
But in terms of bullion, my first order was from Coininvest, Germany in August 2015 for the following:
2015 ASE, Bison, 2x Britannia, Kookaburra, Maple, Noah's Ark, a total of 7.25oz averaging £15.98/oz posted (and inc. 20% VAT).
I was new to silver bullion at the time so wanted to test the water by buying a small sample (paying by credit card even with 2% surcharge) from a company I only read about.
From there, I had placed a larger order with them and paid 20% VAT.
Imagine my annoyance when I learnt that Silver-To-Go, its sister company at the time, sells the same coins at 0% VAT ! 😒

My first piece of silver ever bought was a teaspoon from a charity shop, back in 2016.
Now I'm addicted, but I am in the right therapy group on TSF.😊

2014 silver eagle back in 2014, paid £22 posted, silver was around £12/oz I think, this was before I discovered the second hand market.
I remember how disheartened I was come 2015 when silver had dropped to £9/oz, I'd lost a whole £3 on my 1oz of silver 😄

My first silver was the silver spoon I was born with in my mouth.

Happy to be a part of this forum.
I believe that we are in for quite an economic anomaly.
Those that understand the value and importance of precious metals will thank themselves in the future. Those that speculate and are trying to make a quick buck will lament their decision.
