  1. I would keep it. It's not as if they sent you a 1/4oz gold coin instead of a half. This is your 1st gold purchase. After 5, 10, 20 more gold coins later, then the 1st one will be far more interesting because of the mint error. If you need to sell in future, dealers or experience buyers aren't going to be put off by it. Because they will buying your gold coin and not the plastic.
  2. Welcome to the forum. Have a look on the Buy & Sell section to check on prices of sales items. You might found something you like. If you are serious about buying precious metals on the forum, then I suggest paying for Silver Membership where you will be able to see sales items immediately. Otherwise, as a non-premium member you will only see sales item after 72hours. By which time, any good deals would have long gone. All the best on your new found interest.
  3. Hello! Welcome to the forum. If you are interested in collecting precious metals, then you are in the right place. 🤗
  4. Is it a Bird or is it a Plane ? No! It's Superman TSF Members' Day Dream ! 😆
  5. Hello! Welcome to the forum. All the best on your new found interest. Enjoy !
  6. Hello! Welcome to the forum. Just out of interest, are there many bullion dealers in beautiful Cape Town that sells silver & gold coin and bars ? I'm just curious. 🤗
  7. Do you think you would have listened had a friend told you that he buys/collects silver and gold coins for investment and wealth preservation. I had this conversation once with a friend who was a keen stamp collector. He was rather defensive when I told him that stamps are pieces of paper at the end of the day and has no intrinsic value. I adopted a take it or leave it approach. So the discussion on the topic ended rather quickly.
  8. Nice coins and in good condition too. I think you did well to buy them for €35, considering there is 1.42 ounce of pure silver content worth £28.10 (€31.70). Nice pickup. 👍
  9. It was interesting to see that almost half who voted were bearish on silver. Oh you of little faith ! 😆 It got nowhere near £18 but past the £20 mark on 27th Dec. I'm still bullish on silver. The price of silver will continue go up and down in the coming months. But my forecast is that it will be an uptrend. The silver bears should have loaded up when the spot price was around £15.40 back in early September. 🤗
  10. If there are any under 18 age old on here with a large stack of PMs, then I would like to adopt them. 😉
  11. Some members might trade on margins or ETFs but I personally don't. Welcome to the forum and enjoy your journey in the world of precious metals.
  12. Houston, we have a problem. Silver to the moon has just exploded !
  13. Welcome to the forum. Take a look at the Buy & Sell section of completed sales to get an idea of prices of silver offered on the forum.
  14. That St George design makes him far more credible and heroic then the tame design found on modern gold sovereigns. It depicts him having the guts to go against fierce dragon far larger than him. Whereas on modern RM sovereign, it shows him fighting an overgrown deformed bat with his pants down ! 😁
  15. Hello! Welcome to the forum and Merry Christmas !
  16. Sounds like you're buying something interesting that cannot be sourced or is far more expensive in the UK. Looking forward to seeing the item(s) on Today I Received 😊
