  1. 🤩🤩😍😍😍 Have you selected one as your pocket piece yet !? Do you need help!? 😁
  2. This is highly debatable what you have stated. Weren't General Motors and Lehman Brothers the so called "blue chip" stocks back in 2008 ? Or Marconi before the dot-com bubble ? Had shareholders of these companies invested long term a few years earlier, then what would they get in return after the markets crashed ? Yes, they filed for bankruptcy and investors got burnt. So not much of a store of value in these "blue chip" companies for investors then. I have never viewed the Pound (nor any world currencies) as a store of value and I tell you why. They all lose their purchasing power over a period of time and eventually goes to zero. This is because a piece of paper backed by nothing has an intrinsic value of zero ! In the well known case like Germany back in 1920's, the German Mark hyper-inflated away. A man with 500,000 marks thought he had enough to retire on but sadly found it was only enough for a train fare home a few years later ! I could talk a lot more about the Chinese yuan back in the 1930's or in recent years the Argentinian Pesos, Turkish Lira, Zimbabwean Dollar. The list goes on. Fiat currencies to me are not assets. You can add me to the list of zealots on this forum.😎 Yes, I do view PMs (along with farmland) as the true store of value. All of them have stood the test of time !
  3. Hello! Welcome to the forum 🤗
  4. I would suggest a restrike 1780 Maria Theresa Thaler. They are 83.3% silver, 28grams, 41mm in diameter and inexpensive which makes it a nice pocket piece. Best of all, you can be fondling the woman all day and it wouldn't be illegal. 😎
  5. Here is a good starters guide produced by Sir Lawrence of Blackpool, our resident guru. https://www.chards.co.uk/blog/advice-guide-for-uk-bullion-investors/1041 Welcome to the forum btw.
  6. Or Astronauts Gone Wild: A 2004 documentary Investigation Into the Authenticity of the Moon Landings produced and directed by Bart Sibrel. Buzz Aldrin was the star of the show where he punched the producer in the face just by asking him to swear on the Bible that he indeed went to the moon ! Back on topic. Silver having a good day, up 1.6% (GBP) and 2.2% (USD).
  7. According to a dealer website for 2021, 1oz silver proof mintage was 6,900 and 2oz silver proof was 2,500. So mintages for 2022 probably around that ballpark. Don't know about reverse proofs.
  8. I bought a 1983 1oz silver Libertad a few years ago for £20.15 posted. Who says that silver doesn't keep up with inflation ! 🤣🤣🤣
  9. Cheap for a 2oz gold coin !! 🤑🤣 Alternatively, £50K could get me 34oz of gold. Hmmm......🤔🤔🤔 If only they lower their buyer's premium then I might be interested ! 😆
  10. I knew it was legit all along. Never doubted ! 😉😁👍
  11. Hello! Welcome to the forum. There are plenty of good advice given. Enjoy the ride on your journey to the world of precious metals.
  12. Oh! Make that £25 per gram then. Should be enough left to tip the taxi driver too ! 😁
  13. I did think about stacking two hundred of these coins (200 x 0.05g = 10g) but damn, the mintage is only 100 ! 😆
  14. Will that be silver or those men !? I would be estactic, euphoric and feel a trillion dollars had I went to the moon and back. But it's weird why those men were so miserable at the press interview after their historical mission to the moon. Afterall, it was a momentous event - a giant leap for mankind ! You really can't please some people ! 😅 Also, the technology must have been good back in 1969 as President Nixon was able to phone those men on the moon. Today I still can't get a good signal on my bl👀dy mobile ! 🙄 Back on topic, silver to da moon £25 ($25) (€25) !! 😊
  15. The World's Smallest Gold Coin Bank of Croatia takes the title of world’s smallest gold coin from the Swiss Mint with a swansong issue smaller than a politician’s brain ! At just 0.05 grams, it weighs a tenth of a minigold coin, and is a microscopic 1/622nd of a troy ounce. The diameter of just 1.99 mm. https://agaunews.com/bank-of-croatia-takes-the-title-of-worlds-smallest-gold-coin-from-the-swiss-mint-with-a-swansong-issue-smaller-than-a-politicians-brain/ Don't worry about losing it because of its size. At the current spot price of gold, the melt value of the coin is only £2.35 !! 😊
  16. Hello! Welcome to the forum. Enjoy your journey into the world of precious metals.
  17. Hello! There's still a way out. The exit from the madhouse is on your right ! Best to leave now before becoming another nutcase ! But if you're there already, welcome to the madhouse forum. 🤗
  18. Hello! Welcome to the forum.
  19. Under 10% premium over spot for a 1g 'bar', not bad. But then again, I would rather save up and buy a bigger piece like 10g or 20g for similar or lower premium.
