  1. Get the mathletes on the job they'll tell you about a little secret of moving the decimal point to the left 🤣
  2. Ahh good question... I assumed so. Obviously if not then maths will need adjusting. If there are any budding mathletes who want to take the reins feel free
  3. Morning. Whether or not you should sell depends on your plan for stacking or collecting. If you need the money for something else and selling some of your gold is the way to do it then you've got to do what you've got to do... As for an asking price spot is £ 1547 as I type. You'll want to sell above this by a few % but below the best dealers price that has stock, assuming coin is in nice condition. If you price too high nobody will buy it but you can always lower the price gradually after a few days if needed. Price on the low side it will be bought likely within the hour on here. For eg... I can get a 1 Oz gold Britannia 2023 from Tavex at £1620 delivered. If you price the same then I'm just going to go to the dealer with a good reputation built up over years instead of taking a risk with a relatively unknown member on the forum. Some members will perhaps take the risk over £10 some £30 and some just wouldn't but hopefully this gives you what you need to make a reasonable decision https://tavexbullion.co.uk/gold/1-oz-britannia-gold-coin-2023/

    The Krugerrand

Love the Krugs. Not sure why I've no particular ties to SA or Springboks or bearded males for that matter
  5. Because of gold premiums increasing or silver premiums decreasing when everyone is trying to get rid of it? 😏
  6. There's not necessarily a hard and fast rule. If it's just basic bullion for me I rather 5% or less. Approx £10 or £15 over 'intrinsic' value was fairly normal even through a lot of last year. Premiums have been higher recently in general though so they've been difficult to find at that kind of price for a few months. I still buy a few sovs to keep ticking along but I've bought more 1 Oz recently instead due to premiums Collectors often pay higher premiums for better examples, I'm talking bullion stacking.
  7. £401.67 In my head (and public maths) that's a 9% premium before post.
  8. I was only just born when this thread started 🤣🦖
  9. Another vote for goldsilver.be I'd use them or coininvest when ordering to my place within the EU
  10. Wait til you have a box full and send em back at once
  11. Enough paper to make a fire and boil an egg 👌🏽
  12. I imagine there are some fancy spreadsheets kicking about. Some useful info to include. Item, weight, cost, date of purchase, mintmarks or die numbers, % premium, source With using paper the obvious issue is if it were lost or damaged, take a photo now and again of the page so there's a backup if needed
  13. Welcome to the forum 👍🏼 📝 Pen and paper for me
  14. I think the 2022 looks better than the Memorial. Today I'll show a few of these
  15. It suggests these were Victorias not Georges in the 19th century but an interesting read
  16. Apparently some sovs were produced in gold gilded platinum in the past, some more info in this that I'm reading at the moment in the early pages https://www.jstor.org/stable/42678947?read-now=1&seq=3#page_scan_tab_contents
  17. @Silverlocks Does your 'suspect' George sov sound the same when pinged or flipped?
  18. The Auction Mill in Omaha Nebraska appears to be the seller. Found their website and contact details 👍🏼 https://www.theauctionmill.com/contact
