2012 bullion quarter sovereign ownership

Following on from Andrews recent for sale post, where he identified the mintage on a bullion 2012 quarter sovereign is as low as 137 it got me thinking about how many we may own amongst the TSF membership. If happy to share, feel free to add to the list.

I’ll start. I own 2

I own none, so still another 135 ( out there somewhere). I think it is only the BU that has the low mintage and not all 2012 quarter. I think some people are assuming all the quarters are the same.

Well the issue limit was 250,000 for bullion but only 137 sales🤔 quite a difference in numbers?🤔

Because most people don’t bother knowing about mintage figures, certainly not for anything classed as bullion🤔

I can't believe there's such a chasm between bullion coin awareness and numismatic awareness. It's been totally off people's radar for the last 12 years? Will it always be so? Weird.

If you mean the Proof version on Atkinson's. That has a mintage of 7,579. The bullion seems to be only 137 mintage. And that's another thing I don't get. Why such an odd low bullion mintage?

I don't understand what Numista says about the coin either...issue limit of 250,000? (137 sales)? 250,000 sounds more plausible to me.

Still even £209.95 seems grossly undervalued for a mintage of 137

Tbh it's the way the bullion market works.

I've seen proof Australian nuggets ( mintage 100) struggling to sell for spot.

Another Sovereign that I can't find an official straight answer to is the 1925 'high rim' 1949,50,51 restrike. It's all like "Legend has it...etc"
