Whilst I've a feeling you're taking the proverbial. I shall answer anyway, someone may learn 😆 

Gillicks refers to the artist who done the potrait for the first QEII coinage. Mary Gillick was the name, Art was the game.

There's 10 total years to collect with years 1957 ( first year ) and 1959 ( lowest mintage) carrying a slight premium. 

Years are as follows..

1957-58-59-62-63-64-65-66-67-68 ( no bullion sovereigns struck in 1960or 1961.

Yes it's a nickname in reference to the artist of that particular coin.

The first king Charles coin cannot be a Gillick as that particular artist is long dead.

Martin Jennings is the sculptor for Charlie boy. Can't see his sovereigns ever being called Jennings's 😆

So if you had a choice of say 3, you would go for 57 ,59 and 68 , so that’s why @Dalriada83 pounced on the 59 ??

68 isn't really important as she has other sovereigns after.
