Latest RM Bond effort or Proof Sovereign - where would your £700 go..?

Recommended Posts

I'm not particularly in the market for either, but after the RM' s latest push on James Bond with the 7 coin series I had the above thought to myself.

I think RM are in danger of flogging poor old 007 to death (if they haven't already) but I must admit that I am a wee bit intrigued with this latest offering, particularly with the final coin being a completer. The full set in the presentation box will come in at around the same as a proof 2024 sovereign.

So, where would you spend your hard earned? Bond overload or Sovereign fatigue...

Could you suffer the agony of having to send every single silver coin back?

Do really want another proof Sovereign?

(Neither is not a valid answer, pick one..!)

I quite like a bit of Bond. Connery and Moore vintage though, they had a bit of something about them. From Dalton onwards not so much.

I will get the bullion series for sure, I also like the first coin, so have hope for the rest. I'm just not sure I want to go through the rigmarole of proof silver from RM. If I could pay £700 and just receive the full set, all perfect, then I probably would, but I've been down that road before!!!

That said, I do like a proof Sovereign as well! And being a mere financial mortal I often have to make difficult choices.🤔
