closed ⅓ Guinea, sovs

The 1852 is a good VF, I think - there is visible wear, but the detail is still visible on the lions' faces on the reverse. 1852 is not a particularly rare mintage. I'd say put it on about £430-440 and you'll get a bite.

The 1873 is a solid VF, with some flat spots visible in Victoria's hair, and a bit of wear visible on the G&D devices hot spots - dragon's chest, visor on George's helmet and reins.  This should go for about £390-400.

For a 1/3 Guinea of that era, Spink 22 says 275 in VF, 625 in EF.  Note that these are more indicative of prices you'd pay from a rare coin outfit.  Gradewise, it looks VF or thereabouts.  Here's its numista entry.

The Sovereign is the quintessentially British coin.  It has a German queen on the front, an Italian waiter on the back, and half of them were made in Australia.

What's kinky about the Guinea?

Interested in them, let me know when you get prices :)

Always shipping with re-used or biodegradable packaging.

Looking to sell some items to fund a holiday. I've got some items for sale. PM me or check my profile if interested: Hitler's 3rd Reich 2 Reichsmark Coins, Roman Imperial Denarii and Other silver coins/items.

The 1/3 guinea has a kink so upgradeable it will come back as bent

Probably 300 tops imo

In terms of the 1852 depends if it's been cleaned but worth minimum 420

Fair to say virtually all older coins have been cleaned to varying degrees over the years.  I'd pay 420 if postage was included ( not pushing for a sale , just giving an idea ).
