Hey everyone.

I am new here and new to buying precious metals.

I am looking to buy silver bullion coins from a UK dealer that accepts cryptocurrency.

Currently the only one I have found is Sharps Pixley. Chards states that it does on their FAQs, but then gives no option when checking out.

I bought some gold from sharps pixley. A perfect transaction, but their prices are quite high for silver bullion coins (5-10% higher than other places). Adds up when you're buying 100 or so coins.

I have seen many USA and EU businesses accepting it, but I don't really want to mess about with customs.

Thanks for reading and any help you can offer is appreciated.

You might try ringing Chards? They would then be able to sort you out. Or you could try asking on here, sure there are people on here who accept that type of payment as there are people who have advertised in the past.

Thanks for the reply!

Yeah I sent an email asking what the situation was as it was after 5pm. I'll wait 24 hours and then ring. I will have a look what goes on here. My plan is to buy in bulk, sell it on, make some profit and keep a coin for the purpose of collecting. Thats the plan anyway :). I have been NFT collecting for a few years and that was my usual method!

Chards are not accepting anymore crypto as payment. It was discussed on this thread:

We are currently looking for a more cost effective custodian solution for Cryptocurrency so in the mean time, we are not accepting crypto payments. The market is too volatile. We are working to remove Crypto pages from our website. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

@ccfcpaul I'd look into a membership then run with this option, even if there's small fees, it should still work out substantially cheaper than a dealer. Or sell a certain amount of crypto and buy from here.

Yeah I have just been looking at the sales pages. Looks like there are some decent offers to be had, especially if they are legit. Once I am able to, I will post a "wanted" message.

What I am looking for is the best price someone highly reputable could do me on 50-100 silver British coins(pref, 2024 britannias), paid with crypto (eth)

Just do your due diligence in reading sellers feedback etc, but it's a very respected crowd on here and they take authenticity extremely seriously.

Welcome to TSF! @ccfcpaul!

I cant really add any more then whats already been mentioned to the Crypto side of things. There are a few who will be willing to trad in some Cryptos in the forum. I will trade in cryptos, but I don't have what your looking for. The thread @stefffana linked would be a good place to start for info and potential people to trade with.

Really look into a silver membership or better as you'll be able to see the best deals on the forum before they get snapped up. As a free member you'll have to wait 3 days after a listing goes live to view it.

Have a good stroll round and dive into anything that appeals.

Best of luck with your precious metals journey!
