Recommended Posts

AUCTION! 🔨

A very rare issue produced by London's Royal Mint (Tower Hill) on behalf of Ghana to mark the establishment of Ghana as a sovereign Republic on 1 July 1960. This is an annually celebrated event.

Only 15,200 produced and many have been subsequently melted. Few surviving examples, especially with the original case of issue. This is not one which will be easily sourced again.

Minted with the same specifications as a British double sovereign (£2), i.e. 15.98 grams of .917 (22 carat) gold with a melt value of £760.

A fantastic piece!

Numista: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/exonumia61165.html

Start me at £1 and bid in whatever increments you damn well please.

I shall leave this one to the invisible hand of the free market. 👋🏻👻

Fully-insured Royal Mail Special Delivery will be included in the final bid price, whatever that may be.

Auction ends at 2100 hours (9 PM) on the dot. Bids after this will not be accepted, even if they are higher! 🤠

Thank you!

Thanks for the @. Only just saw this. I already have one otherwise I would’ve been kicking myself! Very rarely come up in its original case. Just need the 1965 in its original case which is even rarer

Looking for 1981 and 1983-1984 GOLD Ghanaian coins
