have been a member for a year and finally taking the leap into precious metals. Some help needed though, I’m looking to secure wealth long term so not to bothered about collectors items, just getting the most bang for my buck. Fractional would be better, any help would be greatly appreciated 👍

Most here will suggest gold sovereigns when it comes to getting the most bang for your buck.

Just out of interest, gold went up by about £260 per oz since you first joined the forum.

Definitely sovereigns are the way to go. Buy from a reputable dealer to avoid fakes.Are you wanting to get a mix of gold and silver or only gold? I would say with gold near its all time high it may not be best timing. Though of course it could only go up from here - who knows.

If you want a speculative bet, maybe platinum is worth putting in 5-10% of your money? Seems cheap right now (has been here for about 10 years mind) and may gain with rising demand for hydrogen generation in the coming decade. Weirdly platinum is less volatile than gold of late.
