Coin cabinet auction today

Anyone pick anything up ? Strong prices today on coins but some lovely ones for sale 

Picked up this MS63 1803 third guinea

Had considered signing up and taking a look - but once I found out my card details were needed before I could watch the auction, I decided to stick with buying on the forum. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I placed bids on a few coins, but the prices were too strong for me especially with the new 6% buyer’s premium plus VAT. This charge really makes a difference and makes purchasing much less attractive. Respect to @CoinsOfTheRealmAuctionsfor not having a buyer’s premium.

I am put off buying or selling coins on auctions like the coin cabinet since I found out people bid on their own coins , which is a shame because it’s not the auction’s fault , they just simply can’t police it .

Prices were defintely strong today I paid more than I wanted but not that many come available in ms63 we there are only 11 in the world and 2 higher known 

The buyers fees are frustrating as it does make a difference no doubt

I've noticed over that past few years that whatever the price in Spinks says, the actual coins available invariably seem to sell for more, be that eBay or through dealers.

No not on here. Wrong audience on here really for numismatic material, the 'spot' price matters a lot more here.

That Cali fractional is a bargain in here used to be my coin, it's a period 1 rare and only 3 graded higher unreal in hand

460, 480 and 600 

Yet @Scaffstacker can't shift a period one 1856 on here for less money so I suppose auctions are good sometimes to maximise your coins worth
