Just out of interest to all and sundry : what would be a reasonable feedback score with which to start selling and not face any mistrust issues..? 

And could an outside reference be used in cases of low feedback, such as an ebay feedback score for example..?

Impossible question to answer. It depends on so many factors. Depends on the buyers and their own attitudes to risk and trust, depends on the seller's length and activity of membership, depends on the product on offer, depends on the value of the order etc. etc. etc.

Even someone with 100 positive selling feedback could potentially go rogue or have their account hacked, so to an extent peer to peer selling will always rely on mutual trust.
