I have five different sets of Perth Mint coloured Lunar sets weighing 18.5 oz each in custom made wooden boxes.

Before I list these with all the attendant hassle can anyone tell me if there is any interest at all before eBay?

Thanks

Frank

Whether you list them here or on eBay, you are going to need pictures.  So why not post some pictures in order to stimulate potential interest?

If ebay is the answer, it must have been a dumb question. 🙂

I am sure @ChardsCoinandBullionDealer would be happy to buy them, subject to price.

I presume you are talking about gold ones, but may be wrong.

Seriously, ebay is generally best avoided.

Thanks - those coins look lovely. As I said I wish mine were gold.

Thanks for the heads up

Great looking set but maybe hard to sell, as I have discovered with sets of anything, and a real shame if you need to split and literally throw out the unwanted box afterwards.
I've got a few of these Lunar ( uncoloured ) sets to hand down to the next generation but maybe you could state which sets you have and if inclined set a ball-park asking price please.

Hello Peter

I have the Goat, Rooster ,Dog and Monkey as well as the Horse.

As you say lovely coins but I have no idea about the value. They cost me about £2500 all-in including the boxes which I think works out at about £27 per ounce or £25 excluding the boxes at about £34 each. If I do not get about £600 a set I will keep them for the Grandchildren!

Hello Peter,

Further to the above I tried the five sets on Ebay at £550 but only got silly offers.

I would sell them for about my cost including the boxes.

Regards

Frank
