The 1ST COIN OF NEW SERIES :

PROOF - 2015 GHANA "Lunar Skulls" YEAR OF THE GOAT 1oz Silver High Relief Coin

I just picked up two of the proof version. I love that fact that each individual coin

is engraved with a unique serial number (to match the COA). I have not come across that feature before. And the fact that it is a high relief coin and low mintage...hits all of my buying criteria...well worth the extra $20 to buy the proof version ($89 US) in my mind , with a mintage of 500 as compared to 2000 for the BU version...I am sure that this series is going to be successful- as with both lunar and skull features I don't think they can go wrong. I just hope that they don't get too greedy if initially successful, and increase the mintage numbers of subsequent years, but even if that does happen then likely the first of the series will be the one to have . That said , I imagine that the tattoo artist who designed the coin could come up with a pretty wicked monkey skull design for 2016!

Cheers,

Luker

Have you got a link for the proof version, please?  I can only find the 2000 mintage coin.

I also see they have a Customs charge promise -

"If Your order has had a Customs charge applied we will refund You the fee. Not subject to Import Duties and Taxes when Imported to Your country."

Would that apply to VAT?

Each to their own, but I find all these goth / doom and gloom  type coins a turn off, although this is the first I have seen from an 'offficial' mint.

Not my cup of tea, but I don't doubt there is a market for them.

Currently stacking 1/4 oz (22ct) and Sovs.

As its my birthday soon, I decided on the spur of the moment to treat myself.....(my own fault for browsing on ebay when I'm skint :) )

Just picked up a 2000 Australia Sydney Olympic Silver Proof "Dreaming Festival", in a nice box etc, sniped in the last few seconds for the princely sum of £24.72 delivered   :D

It means I'm going to have to go for the full set now..........LOL Only 15 more to go.

Ha ha, I just started with these and have 6 now.

I was going to bid on the one you won but I'm buying the unboxed ones if possible and already have that one.

Lovely coins.

After seeing the ones both you and Madhatter have, I must admit I do like them  Just checked in the sold listings on ebay and it seems I've picked up the second cheapest one sold on ebay in the last three months. So I'm happy about that. I'm going to try and get them in the boxes, but I'll take the unboxed if the price is right..:)

Although we all seemed to have missed this bargain. £350 delivered for all 16..................!

I'd rather buy separate I think.

Paid under £20 for all but one of mine, so shouldn't be far off the money.

Then there's the box!!!!

I just picked up 3 of the BU version of the Lunar Goat Skull from First Coin Company for $209 US for the three including free shipping and apparently no import fees into Canada. It just took me 5 minutes to register on the site and pay. (Ordered 2 of the proofs early this morning from eBay).

Cheers,
Luker

Cheers for the heads up Luker, I ordered two of the proof skulls, was lucky enough to get two of the first fifty at $89 each which all sold out in hours.

The next ten at $99 sold out in fifteen minutes , he then sold the next five at $109 and is now listing 5 at $129.

Hopefully Looks like these could be very popular and a good buy even with the added vat

If you like them then they are a good buy regardless of any VAT charges you may get. :)

I checked out around 3.20. Bought the double eagle in the end.

Just had a phone call from HGM and I've unbought the Double Eagle.  It was listed as a St. Gauldens but was actually the Liberty Head.  Still a good price but the Liberty Head doesn't interest me.
