I agree that there will probably not be a quick uplift in gold, although it is possible, but in the medium term will increase substantially.

It is also covered in various news articles. China is the most difficult one as they have official holdings and unofficial holdings in wealth funds etc. They have recently authorised substantial permits for gold imports.

They also lie to the amount they actually hold and declare. I wouldnt be suprised if india and russia are the same also.

I had 190,000 tonnes of gold mined globally, as sourced in March 2020 (figure not necessarily as at March 2020).
