Says 323 in my book 😅 how many pints have you downed 😂

Odd in a way. Only 323 sold and Marsh lists this one as scarce, but the George's 5th birthday, which sold 457 is listed as rare.

Must be because most of the 457 were bought by parents and grannies of kids sharing the same date of birth as heirlooms, so aren't likely to appear on the market.

Marsh has added all the 65 privy mark sovereigns together on page 158 and the 2018 sovereign with a mintage of 323 is listed as a normal type. Very confusing 😂

Page 163, Marsh lists all the SOTD issues. That shows correctly the 323 sold.

That is strange, these sold like hotcakes at the time. I do recall there was an issue with capsules opening in transit and returned a couple for that reason myself, but very surprised the Mint didn't 'recycle' them.

Stunning coins too.

I wonder if it should be 650 mintage as on the COA ? there is a mix up some where , what is the No.351 2018  Normal  Sovereign with the mintage 323  S  ( page 163 ) 🤔

I believe it is the difference between mintage and actually sold. The same situation with the George 5th birthday SOTD I bought. The CoA is number 644.

With the 65th anniversary coin, Spink shows an issue of 650 coins. Presumably, they added the CoA to the 650 boxes when they minted the coins and sold them randomly, only for half the issue not to sell out.

Those figures cant be right, these were as already said, in high demand and sold out in minutes. That was also a stonking good price, so well done whoever picked these up.

Agreed Kris, on both counts and as @kimchi points out, it was a very hot release.  Well done to the buyers.
