I just need to rant, bought half ounce gold off a forum member and its hasn't shown up, SD 1pm too.

I don't care about the delay but now it's clearly not coming my money gets me no where near as much.

Sooo freaking pissed off, golds jumped and silvers jumped since my purchase. Its not the sellers fault but I just need to rant it out of my system.

Gold was 1420 and silver 15.80,so not like its a small difference.

Ahhhhhhhh

Crikey.

You've been unlucky. Were you refunded/compensated?

I bought a coin from a member here and it took over 2 weeks to arrive.

The system is a bit 'stressed' ATM. I hope it eventually turns up.

I had a PM SD stolen too recently.

I've never heard of one before, maybe just coincidence? My impression was that with the tracking and filming etc the only way SD could disappear was theft (?)

SD covers up to £2500, I would try to claim current spot value.

Edit: I think you can pay extra for and additional 2500 cover.

It depends on what cover you had. A half ounce of bullion gold you should have had up to £1000. Depends on how much the seller can prove the coin was worth using receipts etc

You may even make on it.😉

I recently had two precious metals parcels I sent to forum members delayed. Both SD before 1pm. They eventually turned up ad claiming back the postage cost was fairly straightforward. One was a day late the other was 4/5 working days late. It's definitely shaken my faith in Royal Mail. The system for showing proof of value in the case of a lost parcel is rotten.

I hope yours turns up mate. I wouldn't give up hope yet. 🤞

You can't get over £2,500 cover via Royal Mail. The £10,000 you refer to is incidental loss cover and doesn't cover the value of what's in the package. Also if you post something over £2,500 value via Royal Mail, your entire insurance goes to zero - scary stuff. Been a thread on this recently.
