Hello, 

Been wanting to collect coins for many, many years but as we all know life can get in the way and other priorities have to come first, but this week I eventually managed to make a start.

Have sorted out my budget, which thanks to an order I placed today I have already blown!! 😳  I can honestly say I felt like a kid in a candy shop 🤩  So lesson learned, and since I have made the first step I can now calm down wait for my lovely silver to arrive.

Is it wrong that I feel like Scrooge Mcduck and the order is not even here yet!! 😂

Nothing wrong with the feeling of warm satisfaction holding some REAL money in the hand.

I'm old enough to remember the pre-decimal money as a lad - Ten Bob notes and tanners.

Even though most of it contained zero silver (post-1947), this fake decimal junk pales in comparison insignificance in comparison.

I have stacked about 40 oz of pre-1920 silver coinage (mostly 3d), in case we have to barter!

I agree, real money (lovely silver coins) wins over the monopoly stuff we use daily in the shops. I also remember the money we used before decimalisation but have not managed to stack any yet.
