  1. Tombola Cornucopia The splendid haul of swag that was the "Silver to Platinum" prize has now landed and I again offer my heartfelt thanks to @stefffana, @ryanwinter73 and @theman73. All glorious. I must also extend my gratitude to admin @ChrisSilver for the one month's TSF membership credit.
  2. Many thanks for their impressive generosity to @theman73, @ryanwinter73 and especially to @stefffana as organiser and patron. This will be only the second time I have drunk Romanian wine...the teaspoon is an appropriate accoutrement if the first is anything to go by. Thanks also to all those who have offered felicitations, be it via PM or in this thread. My kindest regards, PL
  3. Although it would be splendid if were as simple as this, one should bear in mind the overwhelming apathy of British sheep when it comes to matters politic...and combine that with the intense power-hunger of Sad Dιck's ilk. The proportion of Muslim councillors across the London boroughs bears unwelcome witness to the next Mayoral "election" being far from tolling a sure-fire death-knell for the incumbent nanotwat. Bookmakers currently give the poison dwarf a 75-80% chance of winning. 'Nuff said.
  4. Stupid people didn’t just appear with the scamdemic, although it was one of the most notable side-effects of the alleged virus. Stupid people have been around for a long time. So, it is no surprise that "intelligent" people studied and wrote about them before the hoax exposed them in their billions. In 1976, a professor of economic history, Carlo M. Chipola, published an essay on the laws of stupidity. The article “The five universal laws of human stupidity” gives an overview. His first law states: Law 1: Always and inevitably everyone underestimates the number of stupid individuals in circulation. No matter how many idiots you suspect may surround you, Cipolla wrote, you are invariably underestimating the total. The problem is compounded by biased assumptions that certain people are intelligent based on superficial factors such as their job, education level, or other traits that most believe to be exclusive of stupidity. They are not. According to a 2007 University of Nevada Department of Psychology study on college students, the frequency of common phenomena of inner experience (inner speech, inner seeing (aka images), non-symbolized thinking, feeling, and sensory awareness), only 22% to 34% of this cohort have a self-reflecting capacity and are maybe able to combat their stupidity with spiritual practices. 5. Impressive generosity and courtesy @stefffana. Thank you. #32
  6. These RM anomalies do occur occasionally and taking advantage of them is generally very profitable if you have the time to wait. Another example is the 2009 silver £1 shieldback. The proof coin has a mintage of 8,508 and sells for £20-£25. The BU version was the first of its kind.. and a box-office debacle. With a maximum mintage of 50,000 only 359 were actually sold. As such it is the rarest silver decimal definitive coin ever minted. The current going rate is £200 unless you get very lucky.
  7. If this box is wood-lined - as it appears - then I strongly recommend that you take internal and external measurements of the depth of this box. It is very likely that you will find it is lead-weighed, the base metal accounting for most of the weight.
  8. The £1 coin was introduced on the Isle of Man in 1978, 5 years before the UK. The platinum Manx triskelion design is a tad rare and unusual, issued by the Pobjoy Mint. Mintage 1,000 Proof .95 Platinum I have one "spare".
  9. Possibly the wisest decision anybody could make in the current UK shιtshow that so many ovine buffoons accept as being a democracy.
  10. Collection Addenda With huge thanks for the enormous help provided by @jultorsk 1988 1oz ag Libertad 2002 au Proof "Three Lions" £1 2022 au 1/10 Somali Elephant
  11. I'll take these if I may, please.
