Some members are waiting for a dip in the silver price before they go all in. This guy here is waiting too.

I've looked into mine, but they're not crystal all I've seen was a bit of hair, not sure how to interpret that.

@ChrisSilver is it possible to have the metals prices back at the top of the page - i used to find that very helpful.

Three years ago, 'covid' entered our lives and I wasn't too bothered, i'd been through other scares and had the same attitude as you...bring it on!
The trouble was, the virus wasn't the problem, I had no bother fighting that, the problem was the government and their reaction to it.
A thread was dedicated to it by @augur and later revived by  @sixgun
'Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) information; no need to be panicked by the virus – but be by your police state! (Part 2)'
Would you consider the crash, or the government's response to the crash, the real issue here?
    😊

Metal prices are driven by the derivatives markets and these are really just a casino. Huge leveraged bets on prices where participants never take delivery and many of the brokers close out positions before delivery could be taken anyway.
At the moment there is huge demand from India for silver - thousands of tonnes but as usual you wouldn't know it.
The so-called spot market on the LBMA in London is still really just a paper market - billions of ounces traded with only a fraction being stood for delivery.
One day the physical market will overwhelm the paper market but we aren't there quite yet.
As far as stock markets are concerned London isn't nearly as important as it used to be. It was recently overtaken for size by the French market. So i don't take any notice of it - i would probably struggle to tell you more than a couple of dozen stocks that trade in London.

If you are in the EU then i would say GS.be is the place to be. All my dealer silver has been from there when i buy from a dealer in the Continent.
The cheapest single coins are the silver Krugerrand at 25,06€ which is £22.28. There are a fair few silver coins at good prices.
As far as bringing them into the UK you would have to get them sent to Northern Ireland and then bring them across yourself in personal luggage. i expect you would have to bring a lot to make it worth it and then if customs stopped you, you would have to justifiy that it wasn't for commercial sale.
To be honest for the vast majority of people buying off the forum is probably the best way.

People of the forum are looking for physical gold and silver. We don't give a flying f*ck what JPM and Goldmans are doing - there isn't a lot of physical around, so if JPM and Goldman could flood the market with physical that would be great - but they won't - they are doing the same as us - stacking physical. We are on the same side.

Exactly they don't sell at those prices. As i said they are worth as much as someone is willing to pay and no-one is willing to pay astronomic prices. They have a low mintage serial number but there is nothing else out of the ordinary. It depends whether you can find an Engelhard collector who believes that is worth the juice. They are going to be something of a rarity, perhaps even rarer than the bars themselves. The question after that is always would that collector ever find the next person to pay the same money or more come the day the bars are sold again? It is absolutely crushing when you come to sell and no-one else out there thinks of that special coin or bar in the same way. This is what i have come to realise over time and it isn't always an easy lesson.
Anyway, nice to see these bars.
