I would suggest focusing on the current Tudor Beasts series as you are not playing "catch up" like others have stated. However at the same time keep an eye out on listings for Queens Beasts coins as they are still worth investing in. I still feel that the original QB series is of far higher quality and far more superior in designs compared to the Tudor Beasts. Either way good luck and enjoy your new coins! 🙂

Oops edit: replied to the wrong thread but I will give my 2 cents here: Personally I was contemplating very hard on the gold proofs that were released but decided to buy a few Tudor 1oz instead. There is something not right about the look of these coins. The 5oz Proof was the ideal coin but alas I was too late.

I wanted to browse other sections of the RM website but there's still a queue system going on! Position 1059 this time. Not bad I guess lol

37 minutes in the queue. 2 minutes of browsing. Very disappointed in the collection. Would’ve got a 5oz proof but sold out and now looking at it even if I did get one I would probably flip it. Not keep it. Nothing to my fancy and RM really did a shoddy job with the designs IMO. Lacklustre and obviously rushed designs. Well done and congrats to those that got what they wanted! I’ll buy me some sovereigns and maybe an 1oz instead. 🙂

Those gold coin sets don’t make no sense to me. Disappointed to be honest. Ideal for the expert flippers! Good luck!

RM extortionate pricing for these coins IMO. I’ve broken the 10k queue barrier while making breakfast. I shall deliberate on a silver proof if I’m bothered to continue waiting. Excitement level has dropped for me. Hmmm.

Can’t wait to see all of the OUT OF STOCK signs once I’m in 😂 I still have hope. 👌🏼

The RM website is a joke. I have several devices with queue numbers ranging from 20k to 44k 😂 I have a higher chance of finding the coins on eBay before I can actually get into the website to browse availability of the coins at this rate. 🙄 Happy Grumpy Monday everyone!

It’s working fine now. I literally tried browsing RM website just after the bbc broadcast and they put me in the queue. Good practice for Monday morning. 🤣

BBC News highlighted the coins again at 6pm and at 6.30pm. Tried to access the RM website and I’m at 1062 in the queue 😂 Folks getting excited already.

Promising design. I’m hoping it’ll grow on me. Queues are to be expected hopefully I can get at least one coin. Right then time to pack up my essentials for a very long Monday ahead!

You are right. Definitely also the extra premium for more profit for them. Can’t blame them they are taking advantage of the current climate but some dealers do take the mick. It is what it is. I went into Bairds recently to collect an order and just enquired why certain coins were removed from their online store in less then 24 hours of my arrival even though they had quite a substantial number in stock. I took screenshots and showed the staff member who was serving me. He made a quick phone call to HQ and the reason for it was they were low on certain coins and some are held back. I’m guessing to be sold at a higher premium at a later date. Same thing they did with the Queens Beasts coins. On that particular occasion I noticed they removed the 2022 1oz Britannia Gold coin and asked him about it. They had less then 20 in stock at HQ and so they removed it off the website. Anyone who wants one would need to call up. I haven’t checked again but I assume they were waiting like many dealers for RM supply. 2022 Brits are clearly selling more after the queens passing and more are interested in it this year compared to previous years. I just love the pure yellow gold finish. I collect one of every year if I can.😎

Last I checked they are still more expensive compared to a new completer gold coin to buy. At first I thought it might be a website error but no it doesn’t seem so. Ridiculous.

Too early to know for sure however I didn’t expect RM to release so many different variations of the first coin release. Clearly this is the direction they will continue with for future Tudor Beasts coins. Scarcity is a factor of future value but currently I still feel that the QB series will hold better value in the long run.

With Crypto there is a higher risk of losing A LOT compared to investing in gold. With gold you are guaranteed to get a return even if it’s not as much as you had expected. With crypto I feel it’s still a huge black hole. Too many unknowns. You can potentially lose everything in a split second. It works for some but it is not for everyone. Good luck to those that do! I’m not against it. I just don’t do crypto currency. I like my yellow shinies. 😎

Would've been cool if the 2021 DC Comics Green Lantern Logo Proof coin had a feature where the logo could illuminate in the dark. 😆

Ok RM are definitely milking this series. Yet another variation of the same coin in such a short space of time and this being the debut first coin as well! Mintage is low so I'm sure it will be a must have for many! Good chance for those that missed out on the previous limited edition coins to grab this one.

The Tudor Beasts bullion version may entice me more but I'm still holding back on this particular series. Don't want to fall into it just for the hype. I'm still in love with the QB series. All I can do for now is wait to see how the bullion version coins look like and then make a decision.

Now THIS I like very much! I assume they'll be selling them per tube as pre order as well? If anyone has more information on this release I would appreciate it. 🙂

Love the QB designs and they are much more classy in finish compared to the Tudor Beasts. QB’s miles ahead! A big pass on the “KB” series for me. Too bland of a design and lacklustre.
