  1. Maybe best to wait till ready to buy. Given the movement I am not sure anyone would lock in a price today.
  2. As things stand, I have a little dachshund who had three teeth removed last year and sticks his tongue out when he sleeps (it’s true - broke one tooth on a plastic bone and the vet gave me a telling off about his dental hygiene and said he needed to have a few removed - the shame) and I don’t think they give shotgun licenses to people who live in flats in a city centre…nice thought though.
  3. I used to have a lot of silver but gradually sold it as I felt less comfortable having it at home. As I sold it I bought more and more gold and then opened a safe box. Most of my available fluid money is now in gold because practically it’s easier to store and also easier to move. I do not have an opinion on this issue because as long as people are buying into precious metals for either their coin collecting hobby or to make money/pension then it’s fine with me. If I had a large vault I would have monster boxes of silver because I think it makes sense. I don’t, and only have a safety deposit box that stored the raw and graded coins so space is a premium. If I have £2k to spent then I have room for more gold, and I would not be able to fit in kilo bars or tubes of silver. I do not feel superior to silver stackers. Quite the opposite. I am envious of their ability to find a safe space to store it all!!!
  4. I do have a PCGS MS66 1922 Swiss 20 available. But the price is around £525.00. Probably not what you are looking for? If it is, let me know and I can send details.
  5. Afternoon, HGM have some 20F coins at your price: https://www.hattongardenmetals.com/swiss-gold-franc
  6. Someone bought gold. Someone sold gold. Someone mentioned silver and got shouted at.
  7. Sorry just seen this. I only Get notifications for private messages. The way gold is going, I will sell you one for spot plus £2 when it is your payday!!!!
  8. Most dealers have terms that allow for cancellation of orders. They have to allow for computer or human error I guess.
  9. Don’t be shocked if they cancel the sale. They have a rep for doing this. Their terms allow for it. One of the many reasons why they don’t get my business.
  10. This thread is starting to look the auction that I dream of posting for a 1g bar……anyone for £1759??? Winner winner chicken dinner. Pm me your details and I’ll get the 1g bar out on Tuesday morning.
  11. My money is on the price being 1,780 by the time I fall asleep tonight.....bring it on.........
  12. Please can you PM me your total price? Thank you.
  13. The news is specific to the period at the end of 2023. Like you say - a lag. However, we have seen in previous recessions that the news ant the point of release impacts the price given the reaction to the news as investments in gold are sought.
  14. The news of the UK being in recession is likely to have an impact. Watch this space. Gold for sale on the forum at spot or under is very good given this news.
  15. Just getting ahead of the game. In case needed, here you go: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/gbr/en/about-us/michael-bayley
  16. No time to clean the dies. Die crack another day.
  17. Thanks, James. Not for me today! Looking for older ones at the moment. Lovely coins though and the prices seem good!!
  18. Congratulations @sjd. A very nice price for a lovely coin.
  19. I’m looking to buy some 1/10 gold Brits. As close to spot as you are able to manage. If anyone has any of the general issue coins from the Royal Mint, please let me know. Non proof only, but I would consider impaired proofs if they are are offered at close to spot.
  20. That’s my issue at the moment. Margins are so tight, gold price has potential to nose dive and when buying online the postage kills the deal…Nobody’s fault. Just tricky at the moment buying online…..
