KevinFlynn got a reaction from Chrisplym in Is platinum a good buy or is it too new to treat the same as Gold
Platinum is a speculative asset not unlike silver. But unlike silver it is severely undervalued at the moment. There is a not too small chance that platinum (once the most valuable of the classic precious metals) will rise to it's former value again. This made me put away an ounce or two. Of course VAT hurts.

KevinFlynn reacted to YorkshireStacker in Now then, hey up, how do and alreet
Now then chaps, hope you're all having a cracking Sunday. I've had an interest in world coins from a very young age and several years ago I inherited my grandad's 1912 George V sovereign, which got me interested in precious metals/bullion coins. After lurking on the gold and silver sub-reddits for the last few years I finally heard about TSF, so just signed up. Looking forward to chatting with a community of like-minded folks 😀

KevinFlynn reacted to smallcaps in Her Majesty's Stacker in Singapore
Hello! Just wanted to quickly introduce myself.
I'm someone from "the colonies" who just started stacking and collecting at the beginning of the new year. I've been in the crypto space since 2011. It was my first ever investment and I've been looking for ways to diversify and reallocate profits into other positions, one of which has been bullion, mainly in Gold Maples and Silver Eagles.
While I'm still heavily into cryptocurrencies (I run a modest Cardano stakepool and do some professional work in the distributed ledger technology space via research grants from Singapore and the European Union), I've come to very much appreciate the materiality of precious metals, and have been balancing my activities between collecting (Modern/Contemporary graded) and stacking (1:20 Gold vs. Silver coins).
Thank you very much for the rich information and lively discussion here at The Silver Forum. It's been extremely helpful and entertaining to read all the post so far, and looking forward to interacting with everyone soon!
Toodles my G.

KevinFlynn reacted to GuernseyBullionStacker in Hey Guys :) im not a new Stacker & Collector but new to T.S.F happy to finally be on here
Hello I'm a Stacker and Collector from the Channel Islands I adore Gold and silver and of course some Platinum, I have been stacking and collecting for nearly 4 years now.
Previously I was into buying & collecting gemstones from auctions which I did for about a year and a bit it, which I still have.
I have always been fascinated by how the earth has so many amazing minerals which we can mine ourselves, the geological history of the earth really facinates me.
All I watch on YouTube is anything related with Gold, Silver, Mining shows, Prospectors, Podcasts & Financial Videos 😂
I am also a volunteer Acheologist
I have very little confidence so I don't have a youtube or anything 😄 but I have an instergram page @Guernsey_Bullion_Stacker. If you would like to follow me that would be awesome.. my goal is to hopefully get to the stage where i can start making content on diffrent platforms.
I am also aiming in the future to open up my own Bullion & Collectables Buisness in the Channel Islands with my partner and not just buy and sell bullion but also help people get a better understanding about gold and silver.
If read all this all you're awesome! 👍 and thank you for taking the time to read this. ❤

KevinFlynn reacted to Nivek in New to silver, not life
Hello all, I live in central Florida USA and I'm ready to buy silver, as much as I can handle please. A you tube channel named Backyard Bullion brought me here. I have no idea where I can buy silver, nor what size or shape or type that I should buy. All I know is that I would like to buy and/or trade for silver, up to $5k worth, part of which involves trading my prized 14 gold necklace for silver. My goal is to own as much silver as I can stack or hold. So if you decide to work with me here be advised that I am totally new to silver. I work 12-15 hr days six days a week, so forgive me if I do not respond within 0.03 seconds, I'm only offer 1-24 hours response time. Advice, comments, concerns and etc. , thanks. Note: My user name is actually my first name (Kevin) backwards.

KevinFlynn reacted to Dloop in Buying silver coins and bars
Hi guys looking to start buying some 1 and 2 oz coins and possibly bars. A mixture would be nice. Any bargains out there!
I’m new to stacking but understand spot price, premiums and vat etc! So would be looking for some good deals and definitely won’t want to be paying over the odds for them!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi all. I’m new to precious metals and hoping to learn more.
Would have liked to get in on the British Monarchs King Henry VII 2022 silver proof coins but I’m so far behind they all sold before I could get one. So any advice on getting hold of these new limited mintage coins in the future, or even which other series are worth looking at, would be great.

I'm carrying some gold trade coins with me in a leather pouch. I take them out to jingle them at work when I need a distraction. Currently it's a 20 Mark Kaiserreich and a 20 Franc Genie.
