  1. Welcome to the forum Adam!!
  2. Welcome to the forum! Collecting bullion can be very addictive! I collect Bullion sovereigns, but also try to collect dateruns or collect sovereigns from every period. Almost like a treasure hunt. Both great fun, and also a nice investment.
  3. Welcome Harry and Fenella, I wish you a speedy recovery from the operation! Although you are more than welcome to contribute to the forum after your recovery also
  4. Hi Bart, Yes I think new members have a small waiting periode before they can post in the trade section. This is to prevent new members just signing up to sell their coins I believe. there is some info here also :
  5. Welcome to the forum, and why don't you collect both
  6. Bullion by post has a high premium but then they offer *free* shipping. I am sure you could find some bullion silver for 24/25GBP per 1oz. VAT included. But then you need to factor in shipping.
  7. I like that idea a lot! Perhaps @LawrenceChard , @Alun and @ChrisSilver can team up and create some beautiful TSF 2022 Bullion Sovereigns sets in customs walnut boxes? 😍 Edit: And if someone could call the Royal Mint and ask* them to replace the copper with silver then we would have a real winner. *beg
  8. Are there any Europe dealers who sell these? My experience with customs has been terrible lately and Shipping from the UK will cost me way too much on fees and vat (I know these coins should be exempted from VAT but try explaining that to Dutch customs).
  9. Welcome to the forum Ishy. It could be 'Bank Transfer' but on this forum it is most likely 'Buying Treasure'.
  10. Use the search function mate. When I first came to this forum I've read some of them. But I use them all the time and I had nothing but great experiences. They have good prices and do a good job (so far). Only thing is shipping is costly.
  11. No I can not (see my next sentence) All my experiences were good with them. But I seen some bad reviews on this forum from other members.

    importing silver

Haaaa, I like to believe so! With my luck they will probably find a way to tax me on import vat while buying locally next.

    importing silver

I have always been taxed when i ordered silver from outside of the EU*. I did however found a secret method which was very easy to apply. Since I switched my method i got all my silver in free of import charges. I switched to buying locally.🤫 * In fact; I even get charged on VAT free gold when importing gold coins. So I might not be a good example to give advice on importing PM's
  14. Welcome to the forum, and I have started as a stacker also. That quickly went out the door when I started collecting consecutive dates, then also different coins, and before you know it you are paying crazy premiums for that specific coin ;). I like Goldsilver as a European dealer. Many on this forum can tell you otherwise because some had bad experiences, but my business with them has always been good. I also stack Philharmoniker coins, they come out cheapest and are also beautiful coins. There are 20 in a tube so a little less coins per tube than other mints use. But that means you don't have to spend much to have 20 coins protected in a plastic tube at once
  15. Welcome to the forum @Skyd!
  16. Sounds like a plan, but I would imagine carrying more than 10k in junk silver in a suitcase / wallet would mean you need a pretty big suitcase or wallet and a cart to carry it around with you.
  17. You are right! Hence the investigation/claim. I had to provide all paperwork, pictures, invoices, payments etc etc. And it was clearly a gold sovereigns what was in the package, still they charged me the VAT due to a wrong number so it seems. I'll write them again on Monday.
