Anybody else waiting for silver to go below £10 again as a trigger to buy? I want some 2015 Kooks or Koalas. My feeling is that Kooks have more followers than the furry bears...am I wrong? To Stretch's point on January dip - I think I would be happy enough under £10 to buy...

Yep me, I will hang on and hope it goes to £9.50 ish, then BAM, will probably order around £1500 worth.

Today from my local supplier I bought 2.43 oz of gold, 4 full sovereigns, 6 half sovereigns, and a 20 gram Pamp Suisse Lady Fortuna bar.

I also bought 30 odd proof coins from him at £10 a coin, they are mainly the queen mother but I also have the certificates for some of them too.

Does the 2015 sov have a different head on it?

Hi Cointreau, I have just checked it against my 2013 Sovereign and they are the same.

Buying at the right time?, or your national crusade to hoover up all the well priced sovereigns?

Hi BB I think it is more down to astute buying the three full proof sovereigns I have I was a bit cheeky and asked if they would accept £190 each ad they did. So a very good deal. Also the 1oz Krugerrand I only paid £695 for it way back when.

My average price/oz on 21 ozs is £758/oz.

That said I am going to my local dealer tomorrow so that my be an ounce or two higher.

With a Silver To Gold ratio of 92.68:1.

When I returned home today these are some of what was waiting for me......

The eagle coins are 1/10 oz from the USA cost $22.

The small 1oz Eagle bars are really nice to hold again from the USA I think they were $16.5.

No idea will collect them on Friday when I am off work

A pf70 2014 libertad. Just started buying NGC stuff, would appreciate any advice on whats a good investment before I blow my money on stuff because it "looks nice"

Not too many people on here like the slabbed coins I do but prefer the NGC.

I have not bought any for quite some time but I have a varied list. Just buy what you like.

I was just thinking most everyone is saying ah bugger, bollocks, shit,(or something along those lines!) the price is flying back up, yes it is but it is still way below where it has been.

So some advice FILL YOUR BOOTS, WHILST THE FILLING IS GOOD.

Maybe with the silver price we need to take a step back and look at the bigger picture.

It is still really very very cheap at these prices. Not sure if we have seen the bottom though only time will tell.

I think this is in part due to the plummeting oil price when it goes back up we may see this go back down again.

Markets open in 35 minutes I wonder what it will do, I would like it to go doon so I can get my big order off. If it gets to £10 ish I think that will light the fuse then it is only a matter of time.

I will when I get back home I am 3000 odd miles from them at the moment.

I also got my 10 ozs from the USA only ordered on the 29.11.14.

Some nice bars in among it that I cannot buy over here.

I received my 2015 full sovereign today.

Yes I saw it hit £9.27 but the STG website was down so did not get the order in.

But as you say wow huge swings but for us the wrong way, could have stayed down for a day or so.

And now the waiting game continues.

Just tried to go onto STG website and there site is under maintenance until 0300.

Wow now down to £9.42.

Hells teeth now £9.27
