I will not buy any 1kg coins, 10oz is big enough.
-
Today I received........
The UK Sheep, 2014 Libertads, and the UK Lunar Horses.
I must admit they are absolutely brilliant coins very pleased.
The top ones are ever so slightly marked, but other than that they are pristine for a bullion coin, wow.
The Proofs must be awesome!!!

Wrong topic I have not bought anything.
A combination of being to tired and excited.
-
I didn't even get a capsule with this just a plastic flip, I don't mind them selling this coin but they should at least make it clear what we're buying, the 2002 sovereign comes at a premium as it is, how is anyone going to sell it on for anything more than it's gold value.
rule one, never take your customers for granted, it's a shame because I think most of us consider atkinson's as one of our most trusted dealers.
Granted and Trusted indeed, but it does not take much to lose a few good customers, maybe thats what they are trying to do.
They would appear to be ding a good job then.
Yes the coin is atrocious.
-
@MH
They also carry a bit of a premium.
-
No, But my laptop is set UK time and is correct!!
Not to worry.
-
When I check back through the other messages they all show around 21:00 but my laptop time is 20:35, and the time in Qatar now is 23:35.
So now I am not sure how that is the case unless it is the server that time stamps the messages.

It's a good price Craig, my max was one bid shy of yours but I already have some 2oz horses so was only looking for a steal.
I'm watching some other stuff so kept my bids low.
Hey DB have you not reset your clock yet!! your time says 21:07!!
-
What dates do you need now Keith, I'm going to have a look in my local coin shop tomorrow.
Much appreciated MB.
Of course it is one of the most expensive ones 1895, I can get one but as I say they are quite expensive. But have a look and see what they have.
i think three are a couple more but I need to go through all the coins when I get home and update my list. So not too sure what the other dates are.

1/10 gold proof 2003 Britannia, 25g of gold now so edging towards my first ounce
Keep going MH.
-
Just ever ever so slightly below 16ozs. (15.986).
-
Yes they are a different design from the normal George and the Dragon.
No me neither but they did that in the old days!!
Now I have two.
-
A 2012 Full sovereign....
-
Like the Goat but 1/10 oz is just too small for me.
i bought a 1/10 oz Gold ASE in Florida and I have bought no more. Enough said.

This might be of interest to some people here.

Same as mine matey. The only one I don't like is the Philharmonic.
I am not keen on these yet they are one of the cheaper bullion coins to stack.
So no logic applied here then.
-
Keep it up Craig.

OK, 25 coins per tube! Doh! So that is 5 coins will have a milk spot when you open the tube in December. If I am wrong I will donate €10 to charity.
Anyone else want to play? Go on, have a punt. Christmas spirit and all that lol!
[Perhaps we should start a new thread for this?]
A new thread will be a good idea.
I will video it and post on here so people can see it as I cut, unwrap, and reveal.
EDIT: I do not get back to the UK until December 11th 2014.
-
Ooohh!! We could open a book on it. Proceeds to charity. How many coins will have a milk spot? Closest to guess gets half the pot, the other half goes to charity.
20 coins in a tube. I reckon 20%. 4 coins.
Its full there are 25 coins in it, actually I may have even squeezed an extra one or two there.
-
I'd be willing to bet at least one coin has milk spots! In fact I'd be willing to bet more than two coins have milk spots.
In that case there will be a December ceremonial opening of the sealed Maples.
Today I bought.....
