I don't think this is gold's time to shine yet, it'll drop back a fair bit. It does, however, show you how twitchy investors are getting with world stocks, bonds, oil etc.
Expect more volatilty.

I see no point in selling at these prices unless you need the money for something else or you're convinced the price will tumble again and let you buy back cheaper.
With the way things are geo-politically and economically, gold either still has a long way to go upwards or we will see lower prices to buy at before it goes up.

Economists by definition know absolutely FA about real world economics. To call it a science is insulting to the real sciences.
I just can't understand how on earth anyone in their right mind, based on all the evidence you can find, can actually believe a word that economists utter. To put all the power in their hands is sheer madness. There again some people believe that politicians have all the answers and are actually good guys!

@garthy I love that 10 oz Garthy & might get one soon, but for the moment I'm still hanging out for the kilo,  the 2016 is IMHO the best design for a long time. Love it.

I went to a coin fair today. I saw this 1993 panda and immediately thought it was a fake (It was way too cheap if genuine). Then I went back to look a second and third time and eventually thought it was worth a gamble as I couldn't find anything wrong with it. It feels right - the quality of the minting and the fur seem good. The weight and size are correct. The reeding is correct. The stairs to the temple are correct. There is some toning around the edge indicating that is at least not very new. It's no big deal if it's not right - as I said it was very cheap - but would like an opinion from a panda enthusiast

My 2015 Britannia Ram privy arrived on the doorstep with no ransom note from customs accompanying it:-)
