Today was a very good day.

I received the last 5 Sydney Olympic proofs to complete the set.

A 2008 panda to take that run back a little further.

A Rwanda elephant 2009, only two required for that run.

A 2oz series 2 ox, only the mouse to get to complete that set.

Two Westminster coin boxes from MB to hold my two date runs of Britannias (with privies).

I don't know whether I wish I had or glad I don't have a shop near me. It would be handy but they'd keep stealing my dinner money.

Thanks to Arshimo, I've managed to complete my set of RAM carded Crocs. (I'll be going for the proofs next). I dug out my old Sony Handycam for the pics. Much better than my phone

My first proof coin.
I'm still looking for a 2014 horse at a reasonable price.

My first Nugget. Bit of an old one, but still better looking than the small Sovs it has taken the place of.

Another sovereign, and a good buy Guernsey gold proof £25 coin for £165

I was keeping them all in capsules in a silken style pouch, just thought this would be a nicer way of being quickly being able to have a nice look at them.
 
They feel a bit more special being in these red cases actually, I think it's a nice presentation 

Got a couple of boxes to put my bullion sovereigns in will be pretty cool when I have 10 to fill each
 

 

it is certainly a unique & visual piece  
 
but it is price, £10,648.56 / 300g = £35.4962 per g x 31.103 = £1104.03 per oz (!)
 
Current HGM stock £880 per coin @ 3% over
£10648 / £880 = 12oz of gold + £88 quid change
 
Would be a hard piece to move I would think, might only get melt for it which would be a great shame

The design is very nice and it goes along with the 1887 double sov and half sovereigns I have, but it just doesn't seem precious to me.. seems like an old junk coin
 
Old gold feels special, this old silver hmm not feeling it.
