augur got a reaction from Gruff in Today I Received.....
A sheet of Five Cedis.
In comparison to the coin which must not be named, the strike and frosting is more pronounced revealing the Fourth Portrait from IRB on the coin. It also doesn't suffer from the decentred reverse dye and is a perfectly flat coin.
But, please don't hate, it may not be legal to sell this coin above face value according to Section 2 of the Ghana Currency Act 1964. So I should have only paid £0.90 for each of these...

Mail Call Thursday! I figured we would have a bump in prices this week because of Fat Kim so I received these goodies in the mail today!

Today I received my first pamp bar.
Only 5g but surprised at how much detail for such a small bar.

Spider-man Bullion & Krugerrand PU. Price for the Krug has come now quite a bit and although still expensive for such a coin, I still picked one up anyway. May still drop in price some more.
Spider-man Homecoming proof coin. Very interesting. Produced by S & A Partners in the USA for GovMint, designed by John Mercanti but the coin was minted in Germany by the Mayer Mint.

Just went to the post office, guy asked me what I was posting, I said a collectible coin
Him: Oh what Type
Me: a sovereign
Him: Oh I bought a proof sovereign earlier this year
Me: Oh was it the 2017 proof 1817 design with the garter belt?
Him: Hmm I think so yes, it was £700
Me: Ahh, so you didn't get it directly from the Royal Mint
Him: No I got it from _______ (I think he said *something* collection), how much was it from the Royal Mint directly?
Me: £430
Him: *under his breath* bastard....
lol
I said it's selling on Ebay for £800 or so and I'm sure it will go up in the coming years

Check out the asking price on eBay as the dealer of these Indian Sovs doesn't ship outside the UK...

Here's a money making opportunity if I've ever seen one. Even if you knocked 250 -300 USD off that seller's asking price that'd still be a decent bit of coin in your pocket for virtually no effort. Beautiful coin btw. I have the 1918-I so the thought crossed my mind to collect all the Indian Sovs until I saw what some of these are going for since the 2013 release

Really very nicely done indeed, my first carded coins and I think the red front Mint side shows a truely wonderful coin off so beautifully.
Next year is the last year of the PAMP 5-year license isn't it? The 100th anniversary of the Indian Sov? I'll have to set the alarm clock for that one!

Arrived today, one of these could be true
1) The other side is blank
2) I have another possible cracked planchet
3) Nobody likes error coins

To be honest, that's how all my coins from the Royal Mint have come so far. Scratches, dings and damaged frosting. Silver and platinum worst but also gold. So far I have changed every coin at least once...

SOTD 2017 BU came today but there's a small mark under G&D
Looked like a production error, annoying and not ideal but I was willing to look past it, but upon taking the capsule lid off to have a better look there's also a scratch close to it
Very disappointing considering how much it costs that it isn't perfect, will have to speak to Chards I guess

Big thanks toPampfan for helping me complete my MS70 collect of the 1/4oz Queens Beasts with this Griffin. Still a population of 7!numistacker knows how difficult these coins can be to acquire.
