👍🏻 The price was cheaper with Atkinsons first then cheaper at Chards minutes later, so only paid a little more (there wasn’t much in it at all) and since the credit card company owed me £3,500 I had to go via Atkinsons. I didn’t pay £3,500, that’s what they owed me! I didn’t want you to lose business but I guess you’ve lost more money in the past accepting credit cards, otherwise you’d accept the risk like Atkinsons have done since 2016 🤷‍♂️ Obviously they have a different outlook. Horses for courses I guess 😉

Just got 9 of these from Atkinsons. I had a big credit card negative balance (due to Royal Mint having to refund me after 4 months of waiting for coins) and they take credit card 💳 too 👍🏻 I would have used Chards (a bit cheaper) @LawrenceChardbut couldn’t pay with my credit card 🤷‍♂️ It’s registered to my home. Is it such a risk? The credit card company owed me about £3,500. I guess it’s a business decision not to take credit card due to potential charge-backs?

I did cancel a very big silver too! They can’t find pacakaging for the coins they have minted and the ones they have got packaging for they haven’t got the blanks to mint and fill the boxes. 🤦‍♂️ “The original maker”, what a joke!

I’m now thinking, damn better get all my graded silver out of storage and check them all just in case mine are “slow developers” 😬

If any of my coins had these burns marks on them I’d probably crack them out of the slab and tone it.

It should actually, I’ve heard it’s a method of artificial tonic but I haven’t tried it myself yet.

Pop a bullion silver round in the fridge in a sealable box with a peeled boiled egg and turn the coin daily until you get the desired tone level 👌 Obviously don’t try this with a precious coin 🪙 😬

Apparently 50% of the coins with burns had NCS “conservation” but 50% didn’t. They were fine before the were slabbed I guess otherwise they’d see the marks and down grade them more I guess 🤷‍♂️ My bet is their sonic sealing or maybe even any photography. Even someone’s fingers with remnants of an egg sandwich 🥪 They don’t wear gloves to handle coins so it could be anything
