  1. Thankyou to both of you for these pointers.
  2. Hello again,May have incorrectly placed previous request for info. Bar illustrated has no Serial Number on bar itself, only on blister packaging.Do any members have any info. on authenticity, and if authentic, timeframe of manufacture. My Fortunas are all serial numbered on bar itself as well as on packaging.Any help appreciated. Thanks
  3. Have posted images of Fortuna bars without the serial Nos on bar itself.
  4. Image attached of one of these bars from Ebay
  5. Hello everyone,Have seen several Pamp Fortuna 1oz Silver Bars for sale in authentic looking Blue sealed packs, with usual Serial Number and Assayers signature BUT NO serial number visible on bar itself ??!! Several on Ebay at present.Any info from members appreciated.
  6. I suppose its just the buzz of possessing something so rare, that you know only a handful of other people may own one. Its mainly the JM and Englehard bars that collectors seem to go for and if you check out Allengelhard, they publish some of the prices achieved, usually on the wellknown internet auction site, and these can hit 4 figures. Many deals are done between collectors and prices are seldom revealed.I remember 20 years ago when London Engelhard Letter prefix 1kg bars would only sell for just over spot. Now,some of the rarer letter prefixes will make double to treble spot.
  7. Sold for a little less than price shown to a Canadian collector. One of the rarest JM 1oz bars in existence and should show on Allengelhard shortly.
  8. Am giving it a whirl on Internet Auction Site to see if any interest.
  9. I might try to sell it first, then send AE the images.I will see if I get a reply first.
  10. Hello Sixgun,Thanks,Yes,that was the nearest match I could find so have sent email to AE but no reply yet.
  11. Hello Members,Acquired this bar recently but cannot find it on Allengelhard listings, only with a Serial Number and mine doesn't have one.Any info. appreciated.
  12. Thankyou everyone for the great responses. They have kept me smiling all day!!
  13. Hi,The Royal Mint,IMO,should have carried out proper research in the first place so that the information was accurate to start with, therefore not in need of rectification. They undoubtedly have researchers paid to do this, not a pensioner like myself who bothers to take the time to correct them.I don't think a £27 silver bar would necessarily cripple their annual profit and loss account.I didn't ask for a gold one.
