Today I received my Austrian 4 ducat from HGM. Love the size of it 
 
 

A 1897 20 franc lucky angel coin. I was pleasantly surprised with the inscription along the rim

1/2 oz colorized Year Of The Tiger. and 1/2 oz Year Of The Rabbit.
 

As many on here know, I'm not a fan of coloured coins in any shape or form. In fact I think them tacky at best.
 
BUT................there is a coin out there because of the subject matter, I've had my eye since I first saw it about a year ago. I was never going to pay a lot for it and if it came up for a price I was happy with, i'd buy it. Just because I want it. (Curse you forum coin collector clique for reawakening by destructive collector gene)
 
And last night I spotted an overnight auction and I'm glad to say I woke up this morning to be the new owner of it.
 
It wont be to everyone's taste, but I love old engravings and pictures of animals, especially of newly discovered animals, with all the pictures flaws and inaccuracies. (It's the reason I will definitely be getting the 2013 RAM kangaroo, with the image based on the George Stubbs painting, at some time)
 
So here it is the Cook Island 2013 silver coin with Albrecht Dürer's wood engraving of an Indian Rhino
 

These are some pick ups over the last month, 26 2015 Britannias, 1 Somali elephant which is my first but definitely not my last, beautiful coin, 1 2015 panda which I'm not really impressed with, leaving the weight and purity off is beyond me, 2 2015 sovereigns and a 1/10 2013 gold panda.

Today I finally bought......

A 2oz series 2 Perth Mint mouse.

Well chuffed, been hovering for a while. That completes the 2oz date run.

I have a feeling I'm not the only one to buy one [emoji1]

A 1999 Canadian 1/4 oz platinum coin.
The dealer had this in his safe for ages before he decided to put it in his shop window on Tuesday. Saw it yesterday & had to go back to buy it. Got it in time as there was someone else eyeing it up in the window to buy when i arrived.
 
This went against my new year resolution of buying a 1/4 oz gold coin every month, put me over my budget of what i've already spent for the month and in the dog-house with my missus as she wanted the money spent on a new outfit.
She's just being unreasonable with me i guess

I just pulled the trigger on 54 Oz  of Phillis from STG, odd thing is though, its not showing in the email or on the site?
