BackyardBullion reacted to Nugget in Silver Forum Bars & Rounds for 2024
Look forward to getting the 2024 1oz forum bar.

BackyardBullion got a reaction from Cabletek in Silver Forum Bars & Rounds for 2024
Howdy all!
Been getting a few private messages about this so thought I would just make a quick post about schedules for 2024 releases.
Normally we would have the 1 oz bars ready by about this time of year - and to be fair they are all manufactured but I am going to be releasing them in June.
The reason for this is I am shifting how I work.
I am trying to get ALL production for our annual products done in the first half of this year. This allows me more time to focus on the delivery of the projects when they are done.
Shipping out all the bars to customers takes a lot of time and it often is all consuming.
So, for now I am working away creating all the forum products for 2024 based on the following scheule:
Silver Forum Products
1 oz forum bars (250 mintage): Release June
100g forum bars (175 mintage): Release Late August
1oz, 3oz and 5oz forum rounds (50, 75 & 25 mintages): Release November
BYB annual products
1 oz BYB bars (100 mintage): Release June
100g BYB Bars (25 mintage): Release Late August
Interested in getting some of our products?
Just comment on this thread, or watch out for my future posts on the subject!

@JamesH
From my experience, that means the royal fail didn't get around to delivering your package and will do it next working day.
As an update to my "dangerous" package....
They royal mail don't know where it is.
Tracking has not been updated.
They literally can't tell me where it is.
Looks like this will end up being a claim but they want to wait a few more weeks before we initiate.
Total shambles.

The cost to replace the items.
This is basically the cost of the silver, manufacturing and hallmarking costs.
When I sent it the content of the silver was worth about £2200, now it's actually more than £2500. So the chance of being able to get more than £2500 is probably pretty slim, but if I had been allowed to make a claim 3 weeks ago when I could have done at the earliest opportunity I would have been able to factor in the £150 hallmarking charges and some labour.
Now that silver is worth more that other additional costs take it way over £2500
If they come to me and say they won't pay because it's now worth more than £2500 I will flat out take them to court and fully kick the toys out the pram.
If we claim I will be expecting a full £2500 coming to me and then I will be asking for some additional compensation as goodwill to factor in the above. A shut me up fee if you like. They have been so abysmally awful and this has caused me significant stress.
We will see.

Thanks, will leave it for now and wait to see what the CEO office says next week. Good to have as a backup though appreciate it.

Well, considering the escalations team and the CEO office don't know I don't know if that's going to help!
They tell me they are waiting for the national returns centre to get back to them.
It's been 2 weeks and no reply from them yet...

BackyardBullion got a reaction from James32 in Is now a good time to sell on TSF?
My experience would suggest that if something is priced well on the forum it will sell quickly.
Gold has to be spot or less right now, otherwise it's just not going to sell.
Silver seems to be very low to the ground in premium, I bought a below spot silver purchase (premium ish item too) this week. I have seen Britannia's going for £1 over spot.
At these prices you kind of have to ask yourself why bother selling on the forum because Atkinsons (not a sponsored plug for those that like to call me out whenever I mention them, they are just the leading buyer and seller right now, so jog on please conspiracy theorists) and indeed other dealers are offering £1 over spot for britannias. No risk, no faff just selling and being done.
The same can be said of gold. Why bother with the risk and stress of selling a 1 Oz gold Britannia at 98% spot on the forum when you can send it to Atkinsons for 98% spot.
So, is selling on the forum dead? I don't think it's dead, it's just a crazy market that the forum is struggling to keep up with.
Buying I would say is much better on the forum right now. You can buy silver and gold dirt cheap. But if you're a seller it's cheap so not good.

Price it cheap enough and buyers will always appear, if @James32 hasn't got there first 🥇🏆

Beasts are always popular, spot plus the £19 post have seen them get bought. Perhaps an additional small premium for the desirable designs, only if they're in top condition.
Britannia are a hard sell if not the ones with the security features. Spot maybe if of this type, so perhaps a dealer.
Depends how quickly you want to sell. The cheaper they are, the faster they'll sell.
Just to add, you're selling at quite a volatile time. Buyers are waiting for the price to stabilise, who knows when that'll be!
