So one coin doesn't make me a Stacker or a Collect but after weeks of watching videos and looking at photos its so cool to finally have one of my own, now to get some more!
My 2016 Kook, always be remembered as my first coin.

One of my 2016 targets: a 2002 full sovereign - the QE2 Jubilee shield design (BU). Nasty premium on these - but what can you do? Now just need that 2005 one with the modern day George design...and the 1989..,

A mini stack of these beauties arrived over Xmas.

A couple of nice aussie mint sovereigns in good nick.
A 1875S in EF+ grade (depends how much the edge nick depeciates it) and a 1884M in genuine UNC condition, pretty much as it left the mint.

A 1912 $5 gold Indian Head half eagle - looks XF. Will pick it up in a few weeks in the US. 

@morezone You seem to have bought a lot of metal this year. I kept thinking that's it, he must be out of ammo now surely,
but each time you just kept on buying moaaaaaaar!

2016 Kookaburras.
A few 1oz coins and a nice meaty 10oz coin.
 

Unexpected tax rebate came through today, sooooo it happened to coincide with a 10% off everything sale at my local numismatic shop. Got the lot for 120,000 yen which is a google exchange price of about 660 quid.

a gold Britannia proof 2009 1/4 oz gold  with coa and box
a 1996 proof sovereign with coa and box
and a 2008 proof sovereign no box or coa

Picked up a $5 half eagle from 1900. Wouldn't normally go for these but the price was reasonable and it's fairly nice condition. The seller also had a 1908 incuse version for the same price that was beautiful condition - except that someone had deliberately scratched the field, probably for an acid test
