  1. I'll take it if its still available?
  2. Forgive my ignorance but this seems extremely cheap for a proof coin. How come its being sold as more of a bullion coin rather than a collectable?
  3. I actually fancy a kilo bar but this is what puts me of buying one. They seem hard to sell compared with coins or smaller bars which I've always sold within hours of posting and I fear that this trend may get worse. I really want a 1oz brit as well but have the same concern as they don't seem to sell so easily and also it seems easier to get more of a premium back on the smaller pieces.
  4. I'm definitely interested, what I'm struggling with is being able to value this piece accurately. Do you have any info on other that have sold?
  5. @Earthmetal Thanks for being my first ever buyer! Those photos looks stunning btw. What camera did you use to take them? I have an iphone13 (which I regret buying for an umber of reasons) and the camera never seems to give very good photos, especially up close when taking shots of things like coins.
  6. I have a 2022 1/1oth oz gold brit I want to get rid of to buy a 1/4 oz coin. I paid £175 and don't really want to lose money on it but I do want it gone.
  7. Can I get the 1987 and the1993 please?
  8. Can I take the 1982 please?
  9. Hi everyone, thanks for helping me finish my first tube of Brits off, but I'm now after some 10oz bars. I prefer cast ones and would love more Hereaus 10 oz bars or similar types. If the price is right though any 10 oz silver bar is ok. I last paid £245 for them so have been aiming for a similar price but am open depending on specifics. If you have a single 1 oz Britannia as well that would be ideal as I gave one away to my nephew so my tube is incomplete again lol.
  10. Hello, do you still have some available?
  11. Thanks for the replies everyone. I was previously buying them for £23 and then £23.5 each after buying most of the tube from Bullionbypost for £30/32 each before discovering the wonders of VAT free trading here. Some older Britannias could be nice as I don't have any and so far I only have 2022/2023s but trying to keep the cost low to try and make up for overpaying for the other coins. If someone more knowledgeable could recommend what a fair price is atm that would be a big help 🙏
  12. I'm trying to complete my first tube of silver coins before turning my focus to larger bars and gold coins. Trying to keep the price reasonable as the rest of the tube was filled with no knowledge of this forum so I paid way more than I should have in premiums and VAT! 😂 If you have seven that you would part with please reply or send me a message to arrange payment and postage etc. Thanks
  13. I can’t tell you how tempted I am, love the box and gave started collecting them individually but the timing just isn’t great as I’ve got a few large purchases planned already. Beautiful set. Do you know how many sets like this with the box were sold by any chance/how rare this series with the box are?
  14. Damn you! J/k, great purchase mate, very jealous!
  15. I really appreciate your response, that was very useful. I recently got some that I liked the look of which were limited to 10K - 50K but weren't expensive despite being rare compared with more expensive ones I had bought so I wasn't sure if that meant anything. I guess it does if the design is popular enough. Personally I like historic designs and don't like pop-culture coins like x-men/Simpsons etc but have heard many people advocating to buy these due to a perception that they are in demand so will sell for additional profit. The Queens beast series for example are nice coins but the inflated price makes it hard to work out if they will always demand a premium price or if in ten years they may only sell as bullion and therefore its best buying generic coins with the lowest premium.
  16. Thanks, that's some really good advice. I am a history buff and have some ancient coins but just cheap things like Roman Denarii etc. I would love to eventually get to that level of collecting more rare items but my knowledge is a million miles away from being able to do that without immense risk. I think following your advice of buying with best value in mind is the way to go and then I can start to look at other things when I start to understand the market better.
  17. Are fractional Britannia classed as semi-numismatic though? I thought that this class was meant as coins with a more limited mintage where the value is based on scarcity as well as the value of the metal? My main concern is buying coins that have an increased value beyond the metal or I'd just buy any generic round or coin. Are you saying that these coins value is based purely on the aesthetic appeal to everyone rather than rarity so I shouldn't worry so much about mintage? Thanks for the reply.
