Hi Wasn't sure where to post this, however figured it's a beginners question, so here I guess. Ok does anyone have any ingenious ways of cataloguing your collection. For example somebody suggested to buy a coin box, put coins in capsules with a number on it (somewhere), which could reference a line on a spreadsheet which would have bought date/price - 24k value - and other use information. I'm sure you guys must have a better way, or what information would (in your opinion) be valuable in future?

In all seriousness, I just wanted a little more of a start on the collection. The plan now is to buy similar size coin every end of month (payday), maybe skip a month or if we earn more (I'm self employed) go for a bigger coin. Just monthly, I'm not looking to become a trader, just preserve my existing wealth not even to make profits, so when I'm old I can pass to the kids, hopefully they will never need it. Then the can add to it a give it to the grandkids and do on. Thanks for the advice and warning James32, I do appreciate your guidance.
