thats the place christopher collects works at - the mainly non pm circulated coin collector on you tube. ( although he does buy pm proofs of circ coins and sometimes some silver coins ) Never bought from them as always thought they were a bit over priced the few times i looked, but as with anything they can always have deals which make them cheap. as long as you buy with a card you will be protected.

its quite simple. banks are getting shouted at and screwed by regulators, the press, mps etc etc at dear old grannie who got talked into giving that nice man in nigeria £20k for her £10M lottery win, money laundering etc. what we are seeing now is the result. banks being more careful about transactions all over the place, especially now they are being told they should repay ANY accusation of fraud. There are ways out for the banks at the moment, whether they will get closed down who knows. so to protect the people who have been, are and will be scammed, the rest of us have to put up with this - double verification, questions asked in branches when you take cash oput, acct nbr and name matching. want to move to bitcoin? fine, try moving it in then out to/from cash. you will get hit at one point or both for the same reason. ( could happily fill this response with pages but, decided on the short version )

thailand, cambodia etc dont buy coins or bars except if they are rich - by our standards. normal folk will buy gold chains, rings, earings etc.

amazon do exactly the same in taking fees from postage. what is worse is they actually set the postage limit you get! so for large / heavy books its either a virtual nil profit or you end up essentially paying the person to buy the book from you!

in someways probably more binlord of the week material but these are on the non pm side people who post out of focus pictures only post pictures of one side of the coin say its a silver proof when you can instantly tell its a circulated coin dont include coas or original packaging for proofs use phrases like rare / error coin then dont say what the error is or why a 2 million ciculation coin is rare etc etc anyone of them shouts red flag for me and i wait til a proper listing is on. i dont trust ebay enough to buy silver or gold. i barely trust you lot 😁

noticed that a few times on the main search listings but on the individual coin ones it doesnt mention the VAT.

no doubt there will be someone on ebay trying to sell coins (pm, non pm ) with the new portrait within hours 🤬 even though it wouldnt be available for months. you would think the mint does actually have a portrait on standby to use though. when they would swap over i dont know. they cant do it immediately for the normal production reasons and then royal protocol would also delay things. you never know, charles may decide to decline and let it skip to the next generation!

looked into these car clubs? might be worthwhile and prob cheaper than renting. and far easier than public transport! cardiff is not too bad for a long weekend especially if you are into the rugby - not 6 nations as its mental getting a ticket and accomodation - but united rugby championship.
