I am indeed, but I have been buying for a long time I have the luxury of cost averaging which a new stacker would not have I remember people asking the same thing in 2011 and then panicking and selling up when it dropped £200-250 an ounce, but those same people if they had held on would be up 250+% right now, (from memory we went over £1100 an ounce and dropped back to around £750ish within a few months/couple of years) The price when you buy only matters if your looking to make quick money, if your looking to hold, gold only ever goes one way in the long haul. Though buying any dip is always a nice feeling

Too damn right, could not spend quick enough.

I have been buying but I had sold a few bits so was just putting the money back into gold, and spending my monthly budget, Now that's all gone though, I think I will just be getting the popcorn out and waiting to see where we are at next payday

6 today at £425 were from @SVcollector, then I have 4 on the way at £445 each from @BullionMan89 Both P2P deals with recognised dealers who are both members of the forum 👍 It may be rare to see shields below £480 from big online dealers but they are out there
-
About that yes, I got some cheaper at £425 each last Wednesday (posted up in TDIR earlier) which I suspect will be the last time I see that price for quite a while unless we get a smack-down, I then paid £445 for some Friday (should be in TDIR tomorrow if I remember). My budget for this month is gone now so we will see where we are at next payday

Nice batch of shields arrived today from @SVcollector all the way from Greece, slightly delayed by the bank holiday but well worth the wait (as Chris's coins always are)

I like the design, but with the competition in the 1g bar area it would not be top of my list The marketing is not as bad as some of the other secondary mints who like to play on patriotism and historical anniversary's to draw in the old and vulnerable. This one seems far more palatable than most and is pretty harmless in comparison. The fact it is minted in Germany would not bother me at all. I think to gain any traction on here or with seasoned stackers it would need to be under the price of a tavex 1g bar that tends to set the standard for cheapness. It will need to sell on price far more than design I suspect

The cold realisation: And that's BV sovereigns, we also have Anyone who was looking to buy do it PVP while there are still 'bargains' to be had (eh @bobski - I saw you buying that £400 2017 ). One of the listing I check regularly as they are usually the cheapest on young heads is HGM

Atkinsons will give you £2035, you will likely get better from @Auronum though

I would expect any emerging candidate to be digital rather than paper, but I agree
-
I have no bullion newer than 1887 these days, bar proofs and SOTD, so can’t help sorry
-
The danger would be the emergence of another reserve currency, obviously one not linked to gold. Should this happen central banks may reduce their gold holdings in favour of this new reserve currency and that has the potential to make Browns bottom look like a picnic in a sunny park if done aggresively. [Very] unlikely though, we do not even have a candidate......yet

@James32 is right, been a lot of scammers using cloned profiles in the past few months and the odd rogue seller, it is not as safe as it is on here but if your careful there are bargains to be had - not really many more than on here though. I play it safe on there and only buy from dealers, and a handful of people I have dealt with multiple times in the past.

Come on @SilverDrum, when you going to add more to the listing, I want to know what's next! -
Thank you, too late though unfortunately another member has bought these two via pm. I'm afraid once something like an Una is released to the wild they do not hang about 🤷♂️

Someone may sell for less I guess, but not me, sold 2 for the same last week on here and they went quick, sold a few last month as well.
