  1. I would do the same mate, not always about maximising return 👍
  2. What is the pendant advertised as? Jewellers copies of coins in jewellery are not that rare. Does the advert state the CT of the coin or anything like that?
  3. Its a makers mark, looks to be a middle eastern forgery of a sovereign, look at the rim which is way too thick for the genuine article, the lettering is off too by the looks These are usually about 21ct
  4. That's a nice sight @modofantasma and a great price, as I have said on someone else's post this morning you may be as well trading them in, With dealers like @Auronum offering spot or better and the prices things are going for on here, if you could hand them over in person and save the post you may actually do better
  5. As I thought mate you can likely get more from a dealer: https://auronum.co.uk/sell-online/sell-five-sovereign/ with spot where is it unless you are selling something premium I don't think its worth faffing about with private sales
  6. As your price is under spot likely worth you seeing what a dealer would offer for this mate, I would try Atkinsons and @Auronum
  7. The Man with the Impaired Golden Gun....
  8. Couple of Gillicks to go, the two best years and very decent examples 1957 - The first mass produced coin for QEII and a unique design with 168 grains to the milled edge and not the usual 108 grains SOLD 1959 - The lowest mintage of the bullion Gillick sovereigns and the only other year, along with the 1957, not rated common BT or PPF&F, UK Mainland or NI only. Despatch from Monday at buyers convenience.
  9. I declare the market closed, I win

  12. We can live in hope I guess, but my money is on us closing over £1700, I will guess £1712
  13. I just use the ounce decimal for multiplication
  14. No halves here sorry 🤷‍♂️ I have sold all my half's bar a handful in OMP
  15. Looking to swop a 2015 proof 1/2oz Britannia for two special reverse proof 1/4oz Britannia from the years 2001, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021 The 2015 is a difficult year to get for anyone looking to do a date run, was available only in the 6, 5 and premium 3 coin sets and has a total mintage of only 333 Coin is from a set so comes with capsule only Coin will be in hand tomorrow so I can get some better pictures then, please comment or pm if anyone is interested in a swop.
  16. As James said, deep proof like, usually an early strike from a new die on a bullion finish coin. You also get PL which is just proof like. Because the die is new and polished the fields tend to be more mirrored than later strikes and the detail more sharp, really reflective, or mirrored surfaces can get DPL, those less so PL. Quite desirable on bullion coins, especially older ones
  17. I have some carded and OMP examples yes but they are in storage and I would not be wanting to sell under any of the prices offered already, so likely only any point me pricing up if you specifically wanted a carded one
  18. One sold on BookFace last week for £525, so a very good price I reckon
  19. **EDIT - my apologies I see you mentioned it was two years only, I got too excited by the coin
  20. Quite a rare sight these, I think the uncouped bust version of the Maklouf was only for two years, maybe three, and only on the £5. Far far rarer than the Butler portrait in 2016 and a snip at this price GLWS, this is a real collectors piece, my pockets are full of lint though unfortunately
