  1. I have some carded and OMP examples yes but they are in storage and I would not be wanting to sell under any of the prices offered already, so likely only any point me pricing up if you specifically wanted a carded one
  2. One sold on BookFace last week for £525, so a very good price I reckon
  3. **EDIT - my apologies I see you mentioned it was two years only, I got too excited by the coin
  4. Quite a rare sight these, I think the uncouped bust version of the Maklouf was only for two years, maybe three, and only on the £5. Far far rarer than the Butler portrait in 2016 and a snip at this price GLWS, this is a real collectors piece, my pockets are full of lint though unfortunately
  5. Sod your graphs, gimmi a pie chart
  6. Or both, I think as soon as you create an ETF for a commodity it becomes a speculative asset class, and with the debt to GDP ratio of most western currencies.... A ducked up currency will impact way more than having a pile of gold can counter, though it certainly will not hurt and if a currency is devalued or replaced gold is the perfect way to 'buy-back in' to the new system
  7. So with a 3 month lag for inflation adjustment, its up by inflation
  8. Would appear so I think Never seen the 1, 8, 5 so 'fat' on an 1845
  9. Removed from sale, taking back to storage in the morning with my recent purchases
  10. Thanks but I am being good till the next financial year
  11. An incredibly subjective topic, and it will be different for everyone I was having a conversation with someone over the weekend though and they asked what my prioritisation was when buying coins, so I can copy and paste my answer here Rare Shields Scarce Shields Rare YH G&D Scarce YH G&D Proof special reverse 1/4 Brits Gillicks (57/59/62/64) SOTD Sovereigns (preferably graded MS70) Common YH Shields Common YH G&D Maklouf Doubles in PF70 Modern special Reverse
  12. Yea weird times, no urgency now though sold a couple of bullion sovereigns on FB instead.
  13. Big reduction to £995 posted, will leave this a few days before returning to storage but don’t like having gold in the house so reduced to move it on
  14. I think the 2018 looks a little manly. If you look at the face in isolation anyway, the rest of the design is nice
  15. I seem to be on a bit of a roll with 1/4oz Brits, todays arrivals from @shawy2510 🙏
  16. Nice, that's the double year one as well The 1868 were mixed with silver only and are very yellow and the 1869 were mixed with copper only and were minted using the 1868 die so have the 'wrong' date - this looks to be an actual 1868 alloyed with silver
  17. Thanks, I got it to pair up with the 1997 of the same design I got last week, someone just happened to be splitting a set
  18. I don’t think there are any NGC MS70 2017’s Karl, I think 69 is top pop except for the SOTD’s
