  3. Got one of my bucket list coins this week, arrived this morning 1996 Double Sovereign, just 22 of these in PF70UC, the lowest mintage of the Maklouf doubles and the final year (no doubles in 97) Also picked up a couple of proof baby brits that arrived today, was only really after the 2003 but took them both as they were reasonably priced Quite pleased with the condition
  4. Surprised this is still here, cracking price on an RM proof 1/4oz. 8.5% premium posted

Flip and tish, I have the 1870 & 1872 with die 1 that would have made a nice little run. When you sort out what dates you have Adam drop me a message please, few dates I am still after

I will take the 1871 if it is die number 1 as I suspect Adam
  8. @BackyardBullion did a video about some of the sets they have been churning out and did a price comparison buying the same coins individually, worth a watch if you have not seen it. They were not always like this, I have been buying from them since you had to cut the order form out the back of a paper or magazine and send it off with a cheque I stopped about 18 months ago when I had to return 5 silver proofs on the trot due to poor quality
  9. Yea I am happy at that mate, will take please
  10. Price on one each of 1938 A, D, E and all the 1 and 1/2's posted 48 tracked please
  11. Just a little snowman for me today from @fiveshotdon, pictured here with his new buddy
  12. My silver stack is very modest at 54.607 Troy Ounces, and it works out to £26.29 per troy ounce, the main weight being art bars and poured pierces with only about 15oz in minted coins/bars. I mostly exited silver in 2021/2022, I just about broke even on it at the time when I sold all my tubes/Britannia bars and the like and kept only what bought me joy. The bullion I did make a bit on but it was off-set as I also sold all my proofs some of which I lost on On paper my gold stack is in pretty healthy shape coming in at an average of £1375 an ounce which includes all my proof and graded coins, but this number may be disingenuous as it takes no account of storage costs or the additional insurance premiums I pay. SDB costs over the time I have had one are not insubstantial and until this year I had separate specialist coin insurance as well. I have now switched to it being included with my contents insurance as I only tend to keep recent purchases or things I intend to sell in the safe at home and then only briefly. My SDB costs me £175 a year, I have the smallest box they have (Nottingham Vaults). When I had separate insurance (through High Worth Insurance brokers) it was around £120 a year, now it adds about £45 to my contents. So in recent years just the cost of ownership has been circa £300 a year, my previous SDB provider was actually slightly more expensive as well, I think the last year I was with them was £210. If I could be bothered I would do the maths to work out the true costs, but I cant, and to be honest it makes me feel better to stick with the £1375
  13. That is a lovely thing, a real delight I saw one of these on Fleabay recently and I am sure it was considerably more expensive than this is. GLWS
  14. Only way I would wear sovereigns is half's on cuff-links, that would be quite cool @James32 uses them for the trolley at Waitrose so I hear
  15. @James32 is correct, I can supply these no issue but not with box and COA so I read the post and kept scrolling I have two spares I would part with for £600 each plus post, or post included on the pair, both came from sets
  16. With this London 1872 though I think it is tilted both sides, This 1878 the shield is tilted the other way This 1881 seems to be aligned on the obverse, again the shield on a tilt But this 1884 the shield is aligned, slight tilt on the obverse I don't have enough graded to really have a worthwhile sample, but of the handful I have no real consistency at all
  17. Not so sure, it looks like a layer of gold has been 'peeled' back @dicker may well have seen something like this before
  18. I have been having conversations with some other members about selling sovereigns to forum members next year via the eBay Black Friday event if it happens. Start BIN listings at high prices (especially if there is a sellers 80% off fees offer in the week or two before) and drop the prices on Black Friday to something more realistic and post the links in a thread on here. The sellers and buyers then both win, potentially by a lot if the offer is the same. If there is no Black Friday event the sellers can just remove their listings. Potentially tie listings for multiple coins on here with purchase via eBay, select your coin on TSF but buy on eBay. I have yet to check if this would break forum rules though
  19. I’ve found the RM page with the set on if that’s any use https://www.royalmint.com/our-coins/ranges/queens-beasts/2021-uk-two-ounce-silver-proof-ten-coin-set/
  20. They did do the QB's in 2oz proof yes, @Rafal is correct though this is bullion - the proof all had the date at the top centre and were also all dated 2021 as they only came out as a full set
  21. I received my raffle goodies from the legend @JamesH Thoughtfully wrapped and a great selection, scratches, a couple of cigars for me to enjoy, a celebration bar, a celebration liberty coin and some cool silver buttons which will become fiddle pieces for me I can already tell
