  1. If you want a best value sov just stick up a wanted and state your price. If you mention that it needs to beat best dealer price you will almost always get a bite from someone and you get to see what your buying in advance.
  2. Its actually the 1872M G&D I need, but this one looks better than my existing 72M shield so I wont say no
  3. Any special reverse will be more desirable in the future, it may not add a lot of value but as new collectors/stackers start buying most people usually want at least one of every special reverse. They do have a small premium, even the 2017 privy, but will be a couple of years before that applies to the platinum/memorial & coronation sovereigns My money would actually be ont he memorials for bullion. As they were an 'extra' sovereign the run was a lot shorter, spot was also very high at the time they were being minted so cost more to buy than the platinum jubilee. I would guess their overall mintage will be considerably lower than the other two because of that, especially the jubilee sovereign as people went silly for that when the Queen passed away. I still have a few mind you but I bought them at the time as they were the cheapest way to buy especially when Tavex started up in the UK and started selling them
  4. I have returned a poor proof to BBP before, they were really good about it no resistance at all to the return and very apologetic. Was a long time ago but given their prices generally I would assume they need to maintain very high customer service levels.
  5. Cupro, eBay is littered with them, I just did a google image search to find what they were
  6. Top one is 'Queen Elizabeth II And Philip 20th November 1947-1972 Wedding Anniversary Coin' Bottom is a 'The Royal Wedding Charles & Diana Commemorative Coin 1981'
  7. Lovely design, I think this and the 2010 are my favourites though there are loads I would like to own at some point
  8. Didn't you have one of these @James32
  9. Come on chaps, give the fella a break. We want to welcome and encourage new members and maybe ease them into the banter rather than drown them in it @Martin1968 there are a few posts for sovereigns within £10 or so of spot on the forum, spot is currently £374. As a basic member though you cannot see posts until 3 days after they are posted so might be worth buying a month of premium membership and seeing if you feel you get the value from it.
  10. Not sure I would count this as a bargain but as BBP are the only place you can get them this is about as cheap as they have had them https://www.bullionbypost.co.uk/gifts/coronation-of-king-charles-iii-bullion-coins/2023-coronation-quarter-ounce-gold-coin/
  11. https://www.hattongardenmetals.com/gold-sovereign-2022
  12. Just a though but if you bought this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/355170669423?chn=ps&_trkparms=ispr%3D1&amdata=enc%3A1mHEKnHAoTWSw9F-7dQcksg94&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=710-134428-41853-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=355170669423&targetid=1647205089000&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=1006912&poi=&campaignid=17206177401&mkgroupid=136851690655&rlsatarget=aud-1657461042668:pla-1647205089000&abcId=9300866&merchantid=6995734&gclid=CjwKCAiAu9yqBhBmEiwAHTx5pwjheNLnSqODoyrFtN6q2WE_-xK5BrUaUJi86XDPVQf6Dqt-ugVt7RoC0g4QAvD_BwE Which is the box and COA for the 2016 half and stuck it up on Fleabay they sell between £425 & 475 on there. Alternately someone could buy your coin and this box and flip away
  13. So £804 with fee's, I might even be a buyer at that price point, though probably not
