  1. I know, doomed indeed, just like everyone else on this thread. Looking forward to the first hit @matt1r
  2. Good people of the forum I am fortunate today that I’ve now sold enough of my Canadian finest to indulge in my new slippery slope of Crowns. My silver pill has been delivered by Amazon prime and I’m set to go but humbly seek some last minute advice before diving into the deep end. My shopping list is simple :- 1930 & 1933 Wreath Crowns, 1935 Jubilee Crown and half Crowns from both years and something from 1966, ideally a sixpence but don’t know if any were minted that year. My question is if it is worthwhile posting here in the wanted section of buy / sell for the wreaths as I know these coins are highly valued and would not normally be traded lightly by owners. Thanks to the link above I see Salford coins have a number for sale in the years I’m interested in but am not too sure about the grading system. Is for example AEF/EF worth £60 more than GVF. Hope someone can help in my new minefield!
  3. Thank you for that, I was beginning to get a complex. I posted a gold Maple for sale and spot price dropped £12 in two minutes just after. Bad timing or what?
  4. It is only the seller who is eligible to make the claim on the link provided earlier in the thread. One of the sales was for a gold coin and I included SD as part of the sale, the other I chose to upgrade for my peace of mind as I considered the value of the sale worthy. I offered the buyer full refund for his postage on first signed which was refused but have agreed to give free postage on any further purchases.
  5. Thanks @SilverDrum, @SilverJacks, @BackyardBullion again. Two more full refund cheques.
  6. Welcome Shaun, too many rabbit holes in this place but enjoy
  7. Welcome to the forum Winston Just got to be aware that silver here in the UK is subject to VAT and coins/ bars will carry a premium over and above that. At today’s spot price of 16.80 ish you can expect to pay between £22 and £24 per ounce for bullion silver and higher for more sought after coins. You should be able to resell here on the forum for similar but if you need to realise capital quickly I’m afraid dealers usually only offer within a few percentage points of the day’s spot price. Thereafter it’s just down to personal choice. Sellers here on the forum will always state the prices and usually include several photos. Premium membership allows you to see adverts straight away without having to wait 3 days - all the good stuff gets sold quickly. Best of luck with whichever route you take.
  8. Thank you @RYAN05 for a super generous Christmas gift and all the organisers of this great prize draw for making it so special. 2 fantastic examples of Canada’s finest and super shiny Britannia, doubling the diversity in my stack. Very happy Mac
  9. Welcome to the forum. Thank you for your purchase too, definitely fast out the traps there and wish you best with your future stacking goals
  10. $1746. Didn’t end well for Charlie either.
  11. Great introduction. Welcome and enjoy.
  12. Just got another fix of hand poured silver. Thank you @AtomicSilver
  13. Welcome to the forum of trust. Check out the trading feedback tab to see what I mean, I think it’s now up to 1054 pages and you will see both buyers and sellers engage to retain the reputation they have earned. Trading is always a judgment call. On higher value sales, longer standing members with high positive feedback will not need to use the byb intermediary service whereas newer members might. For what I consider to be a reasonable fee it can give you peace of mind. All the best in your gold quest.
  14. $19.79 U.S. only. Wish it wasn’t so but hey ho.
  15. How Santa does the deal doesn’t matter to me
