  1. How Santa does the deal doesn’t matter to me
  2. Great collection. Santa now has a 40oz Rolo in my annual letter.
  3. My first ever hand poured silver. The start of another slippery slope methinks
  4. Welcome to the slippery slope of collecting.
  5. Must be playing havoc with your 50g bar pricing….my maple went down 30 then back up 50 in the space of a week. Had it since 2014 so will wait til it gets a bitty closer to the moon, lol
  6. Absolutely, that one picture was worth a great amount to me. Totally agree with your thoughts on gold too. With spot price ups and downs just now it’s difficult to place below dealers whilst still offering value to TSF members. I haven’t seen much gold selling here heavier than a sovereign and appreciate that it’s chunky numbers for buyers. If the timing is right maybe selling gold to dealers might turn out to be just as cost effective.
  7. Great answer. I think I’ve arrived at the same conclusion. Big value goes via the intermediary service @BackyardBullion, bullion silver I’ll take my chances. On my first sale @Gruffposted a picture of one of my coins in the ‘ today I received ‘ section on his sigma machine showing 9999 which was a great reassurance potentially for future buyers. I’m still touched by that gesture to this day. 3 of everything…..but how many maples you got? Only one click away and may even swap for first edition ‘ war ‘n’ peace ‘
  8. Welcome fellow tech dinosaur
  9. Great taste in precious metals, food and drink. You may have found a forum of like minded people. Welcome
  10. Absolutely agree with your strategy. I’ve followed your trade with interest and am glad it’s concluded successfully. I personally went down the route of post first and sell cheap but that was on generic bullion silver. Can I ask that now you have good trading feedback would you consider it going alone, so to speak, on your next trade whenever that may be?
  11. Is there a premium advantage for milk spot free maples? Maybe I’m on to a winner….retirement here I come…!
  12. I have sold three tubes of 2014 Maples recently and didn’t notice any milk spots on any of them at time of photographing for sale and just inspected another I’ll be selling soon with same result. They have literally been in the RCM tube for the past seven years, does this airtight environment help or have I just been lucky with the 2014 batch?
  13. Thanks for sharing, really looking forward to having in hand experience soon
  14. Thanks for the links. My original thought was to pick up birth years of my parents 30 and 33 as a gift for them but was perplexed by the prices at the time. Subsequently members have educated me on the rarity and value of these coins and I have to be honest that now I just want them both for the living history and as memorable keepsakes. I will be selling some generic bullion soon to pay for my new interest and look forward to the shopping experience.
  15. Thought it was just me and my personal rain cloud☔️
  16. Aye, just as you and I posted for sale. Bad timing or what?
  17. Silver pill on order from Amazon prime, hope there’s 2 Wreath crowns out there - don’t want to get in a bidding war 😀
  18. Hi Send, I was lucky enough to live in Singapore for a number of years and it was the best experience I’ve ever had. Welcome to the forum, looking forward to your input
  19. I’m teetering on the edge of the same slippery slope, both @Liam84and @Bruce06pointed me in the same direction on an earlier thread of mine….I now can’t get the 1930 Wreath crown out my head now. Blue pill or red pill?
  20. I’d like to enter please with either this Silver Brit or £50 worth of Petrol from Tesco.
  21. Thanks @Gordy, yesterday received these fantastic coins which my photo doesn’t do justice. Well happy.
