  1. They can't keep moving the goal posts like that. It was definitely coin 2.
  2. Right now, I am more excited for the box! I think its a good design, but looking forward to filling the Box. As you do.
  3. First queue I have missed in a long while, due to having a continuation order. I best take a look anyway ... 😀
  4. If I had 10 to 11k lying around doing nothing , I would be like a rat up a drain pipe. Be brave when others are fearful. It's like the 10oz gothic auction the other day, I am convinced if that, or the 5oz gold appeared on the RM website, they would go very quickly. As would any of them, probably. The economic mood music probably isn't being helpful.
  5. Yeah they are! I was a bit unsure about this series initially. I think the low mintage has got it off to a good start. Henry VII still hasn't grown enough on me yet, but there is definitely something about it. It also looks to be doing well on the secondary market too. I am definitely in on the 1oz and 2oz silvers in this series, which together cost a little more than a 2oz silver great engravers. Hopefully they keep the mintages low
  6. My 2oz portrait arrived today. Disappointed to say the cap was open. Made it extremely difficult to pull the capsule out of the box to have a look. Doesn't look like many problems on a very brief inspection. It's hard to see the capsule open on the picture taken when I first opened it.
  7. Thanks @GoldDiggerDave. The forum wisdom is brilliant.
  8. Looking to purchase my first modern gold bullion (I don't have any gold apart from a young head sov), so this thread has been very useful. I was tempted to get a 1oz QB completer but this thread has probably steered me away from that. I don't mind getting sovs, so will probably go down that route. Thanks everyone for the comments, perfectly timed for me.
  9. I agree. However, I would rather they kept the mintages low, and take my "chances" 😉
  10. I would really like them maintain the mintages. I don't think they will though, a small increase will be acceptable 😀
  11. As they suggested my 2oz is due tomorrow. I can't take delivery tomorrow, and don't trust Royal Mail not to leave it on the doorstep, so they should deliver on Friday. Looking forward to it and dreading it, in equal measure.
  12. So James I next month. I assume its going to be higher mintages ...
  13. I have the 1oz and 2oz silver. I was tempted to get the 5oz from chards a few weeks back, about 100 above RRP. I didn't in the end
  14. Tripolar ? The plot thickens. I thought bipolar, hmmm who is the third
  15. That looks amazing. I would give my right bollock for that. Just to clarify these aren't made of gold ?
  16. I am still waiting for 2oz, 5oz and 10oz silver. Just called them. Apparently the 2oz are "in stock" the 5oz will be in a week or so, and the 10oz around the beginning of March (4th I think he said). My order was again marked to be dispatched at the same time. They have changed that so I will get them individually. Not looking forward to the 2oz, presumably there will be some returns lying around somewhere
  17. Jeff, the term man fat here in the UK doesn't mean fat that accumulates on a man. Well, not as I think you suggested, and of course each to their own. Perhaps fat, in a man, that may, on occasion leave said man. Normally at times like birthdays, and Christmas. Or other times you may count yourself lucky.
  18. One, not to watch... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GREAT-BRITAIN-GOTHIC-CROWN-1847-ENAMELED-BOTH-SIDES-VERY-PRETTY-/384710842366?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0
