I didn't like this coin when it was released, the pictures didn't do anything at all for me. It does look far better in the flesh, judging by these photos.

The point being its old speculation. The Libyan Chinese diplomat (the tweet shared) seems to imply the photos are rare. They aren't. He at least got that bit wrong. Widely shared, for years, sometimes debunked.

My Lion of england arrived today. Cap Open, and I think I definitely fingered it trying to correct it. It's going back and I will be cancelling my continuation order. I have had enough of open capsules. No pussy jokes. I already thought about it, and thought better of it!

Just spent 20 minutes opening ALL of the boxes, what a pain! I didn't receive them all today, but the 10oz portrait yesterday, and the 5oz portrait a few days back. The set finally complete. Now to put them all back in the boxes....

I received my 10oz yesterday. A bit more dust inside than the 5oz. Will be pairing them all up tonight and taking a good close look. Finally, I am done with gothic crowns. It's been a slog.

I just realised it's not Royal Mint or 5oz. It has the correct obverse and reverse. It must be one of those cheap knock offs.

I was expecting the Tudor Beasts Lion today, but was pleasantly surprised to get the Gothic Crown Portait 5oz silver. Only waiting for the 10oz now. I am very pleased with it so far. Not had the Loupe out yet though. There seems to be something about these larger silvers. Small things such as less dust inside the capsules, the packaging, the larger coin helps the design imo. They just seem better quality.

No box ? Bad quality ? This is starting to be a big issue. As far as I am concerned they advertised the box with coin 2. They can't just go changing that. It will be coin 10 next. I will be complaining when my box doesn't arrive. -
