  1. I use Google Chrome and if I search for 2022 Sovereign bullion it comes up with very little. Using direct links to the coins I wanted to look at still brings the correct page up. The RM website is a bit of a mess and the search facility is pretty useless.
  2. If it was possible to limit the number of items listed for to no more than 3 in (say) 4 hours that would avoid one member hogging the sale section. Same would apply to 'bumping'. Just a thought.
  3. The email I have from RM says 14.30....
  4. Someone posted the email from RM and I'm sure it said 14.30 Just checked and the email from RM definitely says 14.30.
  5. Someone quoted an email from RM. Possibly on this thread or a similar one.
  6. Going on sale at 14.30, not 9am.
  7. Correct. Matte and plain edge. Lowish mintage too.
  8. Usually I would agree with you, however for this special one-off version I'm getting a couple to put away for my children. Will get the complete set in bullion form eventually. Will increase in value in my opinion.
  9. This happened to me last week. TSF member sent me 2 coins via Royal Mail Special Delivery to my office address. I arranged to be there on the day of delivery (office is not usually manned). Delivery failed to arrive as the parcel had been sent to the wrong delivery office. I asked (via RM website) for the parcel to be delivered to the local Post Office near my office as I knew an attempt to deliver to the office would most likely fail as no one was going to be there the following day. I receive an email the following day saying the parcel had been delivered - I assumed this was to the local Post Office. I went to the Post Office this morning on the way to the office to collect the parcel. Staff couldn't find it. Luckily the RM delivery office is a 5 minute walk away and they were still open for another 8 minutes. Staff at the delivery office checked and the parcel wasn't there. They checked online and the parcel was delivered to the PO as far as they were concerned. Back to the PO - still can't find the parcel. By now I'm getting a bit upset at the potential loss of over £2k of coins. Drove to the office and thankfully the coins had been delivered there (the parcel was small enough to fit through the letterbox). This has happended to me many times - the delivery office don't follow instructions and keep on trying to deliver to my office instead of redirecting it to the PO (which is open all day and is therefore more convenient for me to collect from). I have raised a complaint about this before and was assured that the staff had been spoken to. Absolute joke.
  10. Another recent purchase from TSF member. Gold two pound proof and my first ever quintuple proof sovereign (it's a chunky coin). Both look to be flawless - a few marks on the capsule. Off to get graded.
  11. Latest batch of coins back from grading (thanks once again Louise - Coins of the Realm). Particularly pleased with the results on the Prince George 5th Birthday SOTD x 2. A rare coin this one and nice to have two with a top grade.
  12. And that's absolutely fine. As I said, it's your call. It's either worth it or it isn't.
  13. This SOTD coin is unique. It has a plain edge. I guarantee the ones you can SYO will have a milled edge. Maybe that isn't enough for some people to consider it worth buying. This is of course their decision. From the many pages on this thread I would say there is significant demand chasing a very limited number of coins....
  14. I was addressing your point about whether you considered them special enough to be worth the money. Availability is another question altogether.
  15. Regardless of the doubters, this sovereign is unique. A one-off reverse. Celebration of an event potentially no one will ever witness again. Plain edge rather than milled and limited to 1,200. Only you can decide whether it's worth the money or not.
  16. Can we get back to using this thread for posting pictures of what TSF members received please?
  17. A few dealers had it on pre-order but they seem to have sold out now (although it's worth checking) so your next option is to hope you can get one from RM on the release day. I expect demand to be very high. Try Chards - https://www.chards.co.uk/2022-platinum-jubilee-strike-on-the-day-sovereign/15791 Sometimes they have a few for sale (none at the moment). You will pay a bit more than the RM price but if you can get one this way you won't miss out. Otherwise I expect one or two will make their way for sale on here eventually. You could also look at the auctions from Coins of the Realm and The Coin Cabinet. I expect some will be auctioned off there too.
  18. The SOTD is a single sovereign. Limited mintage. Same design as the 2022 sovereign but has a plain edge and I think it will be a matte finish. EDIT: Limited to 1,200 sovereigns only.
  19. The 2017 Sotd has gone up considerably. Top graded ones sell for £1100 or more. I think this version will be the same or even better.
