Not a patch on what a lot of you have hitting the welcome mat, but this one popped thru my letterbox today. First bit of silver for a couple of years now. 

Could do with a “forum” rental where members could hire it for a week to test their metals for a small fee. Reckon it would recoup its cost in no time.

Beast arrived this morning and the 1/2 oz the other day.
 
Biggest chunk of gold I now own. (Not gonna lie but a bit of wee came out when it arrived!!) 
How you guys contain yourselves when I see some of what you get delivered is beyond me!!

Slippery slope thou.... I started off with a couple of grams last year and became hooked very fast!! 

Technically yesterday but had to collect 1 sovereign from a friends house.

Been over a month since any silver has crossed my gypsy palms due to the increased prices but I couldn’t hold out any longer!
Nothing special but boy did it feel good to scratch that itch!!

Many thanks to @jackflash123 for these lovely coins that arrived today. My partner is over the moon with her first coin, the silver maple, and I'm very happy to add the Goddess Europa to my stack!

With prices hitting ATH pretty much every other day, have you thought about a cut off point?
Me personally, I’m still gonna stick with the plan of at least a sovereign or 1/4 oz a month till retirement and then cash out that Sovereign or quarter per month to help out when the pension isn’t enough to cover my planned life style of slow cars and fast women!!

Sold some unwanted stuff on eBay so a guilt free sovereign for me!! 
And a couple more grams added.

1st silver buy for me was 3 ozs back in 2017
1 maple, 1 Britannia & an ASE.
Maple has since moved on but the other 2 are still in the stack

I like to hide my sovereigns behind a photo of the wife. No one will go near that.

Just checked through my paperwork… after just under two and a half years I’m on around just over half a kilo (sounds better than 500g😮🤔)
Two lessons learnt:
Should have bought less silver🤔
Should have bought more slightly larger coins such as full and half sovereigns 🤔🤷🏼‍♂️
oh well …. best keep going🤔😮😁🔥

It’s a little harder to sell a coin than go to a cash machine and draw cash … or to swipe your card! Since buying coins the value I have saved is far more than if saving in the bank🤔😮

Might take a month off as I really overspent this month to hit kg 😂 but will carry on. 
for me it’s just a good way of saving as I am rubbish with money and if it’s in the bank it quickly gets spent on expensive toys and rubbish off Amazon. 
No real plan on what I’m saving for! I’m lucky as mortgage all paid off so there as an emergency fund or just nice for retirement 🥳🎉
Really wish I was introduced to this way of saving 25 years ago.

1KG of gold....a big extension on the house, a fancy car (if that's your thing), a child's University tuition, world travel....etc.
Or just drawdown, a sov a month to supplement your pension.

Purchased a special sovereign off @James32 last week which means I owe a massive thanks to everyone on TSF as I've hit the 1kg of gold in full sovereigns 🙂 (That's 137 to save anyone counting 😂).
I started this journey just under 3 years ago after happening upon TSF after looking up what one was worth that was given to me by my grandparents when I was born. Gave myself the target of 1kg in 10 years (1 per month plus a few) and have smashed that. Honestly the best decision I've done and a great little nest egg for retirement. Here's to the next kg and once again, thank you all 😀🥰
