  1. So i've been staying over at one of my very best friends while my bathroom was having a refit. A gold stacker to be sure so i thought while i'm here i'll be useful. So yesterday i found his hidden gold stack! in an old broken vaccum cleaner, wondering if i could fix it i came across about 15 Troy Oz of assorted bullion 9999 gold. So i cleaned it out and put the gold free cleaner outside for the bin men. On his return from work he passed the offending article in the street and didn't notice it. I decided to casually tell him over a beer that the cleaner had been picked up and taken away, but he noticed it had gone when he went to get a bottle of scotch out the cupboard. He went pale then very quiet. Realising he had lost quite a lot of bullion i sat him down and told him that the broken cleaner was gone and that he would have to find another hiding place for his Oz's. He finally realized i had indeed found it and i was holding a little bag with over £22,000 pounds of bullion in it. Not even a little angry he went away a hide it somewhere else in the house and said i bet you can't find it now. Thankfully my bathroom will be ready on saturday!
  2. Does Vladimir Putin have shares in the rm as they share the same standard of moral values!!!
  3. I'd buy from not another source but from a different mint totally rm really sucks WWW.SILVERTRADER.UK has some nice product and some very nice Albion Bars. Take a look!
  4. Faulty Towers Would be in reality such a fun place to spend a long weekend, But the rm is such a BIG gamble i just don't go there any more. If Basil ran the rm the quality would be higher as he really did give two flyin F**KS Need we say anymore, " I'm from Barcelona", "Que" It was about 6 years ago i stopped giving a fig leaf about the rm. As Arnie would have said, "I'll be Back." erm NO I WON"T" I won't buy an rm product from the rm again. The shocking quality from them would make kindergarten children weep like their mommies and daddies didn't love them anymore!!!
  5. Queueing system @BarryWoods won't like that and have to start a new topic Time to drag the The Silver Forum Queueing System model in to this century?
  6. This thread should be aloud to rumble on at least if @BarryWoods is at a keyboard then he can't be kicking a cat.
  7. I really find it difficult to believe that this thread is still going? Hahahahaha And i spoke to another unnamed company and had a semsible conversation! Hahahahahahaha. Unbelievable! Finest keyboard bull i've read in a while!
  8. I would be leaving it alone going nowhere near it. I really stack for the post SHTF situations. The country is starting to regain some sort of normallity and with a modest stack you cn be ahead of the game!
  9. Something else the rm aren't good at!
  10. If it was a quick exit then i'm not suprised! Sometimes a long slow planned exit is what is needed.
  11. Nerves of steel or shill bidding to be on the safe side!
  12. Interesting old post from the good old days.
  13. Time to drag the Royal Mint's business model in to this century? If the question in the title is to be believe at all the op wants is to change the way the royal mint does business. The way the royal mint does business has got hehaw to do with him! @BarryWoodshas a big fat dose of buyers remorse and a unhealthy amount of self-entitlement. My wife knows this and this is how it should be done! No two businesses are run the same way. The OP is clearly deluded if he thinks that he has any chance of changing the royal mint in anyway shape or form.
  14. Time to drag the Royal Mint's business model in to this century? More like time to drag his sorry rear and invest in a market that he understands. I've been buying PM's for about 30years so know a fair bit about the workings of buying my bits n pieces i've got. I would NEVER EVER say that nothing would catch me out. And if and when it does then you must take it on the chin. I remember a friend of mine bought a cartier 24ct Au lighter around 2005 it cost £45,000 and couldn't understand why he should keep it in perfect condition.
  15. If you do not agree with @BarryWoods then you're never going to understand! Seems very much like ZERO research and a huge dose of buyers regret.
  16. I'd say Pt and Pd are a good to hold in hand. What motives you have behind holding Pt is up to you. I just like these two metals. If you want to protect wealth then i'd steer clear. I'm no expert but i see Au everyday on PCB's and connectors and Pt used in test equipment. I'm a magpie for these metals some Pt coins, rings and some Pd rings, bars. I just like Pt and Pd.
  17. @BarryWoods Have you seen the quality control on items from thr rm? Dings, scratches and milk spots on coins. Capsules left open. Poor quality presentation cases. The rm is not a luxury goods company. They are the same type of company that Del Boy Trotter used back in the day. Remember the size of those mobile phones? Rolls Royce, Bentley and Aston Martin are prestige companies. audi, apple and the royal mint are NOT! If you want to eat in a macdonalds, burger king or kfc then go right ahead, I won't be bumping into you when i'm eating in Miller & Carter or The Ivy A company that says they are quality is a company that does not believe in their product, and one to stay away from. 1000 years of c**p is not true but sure does look like it most of the time.
  18. Maybe an auction could be pinned to the top of the section that they are in until the auction closes?
  19. IMHO the way that @morezone went about selling a vast array of items was just about perfect. The sponsor/ Dealer sub-forum was put to the most effective use possible. The sponsor sub-forum that @arshimo2012 is another that has been used to great effect too, items can sell in a matter of mins if not secs, unfortunately there are hidden posts there too. I have a standard membership as i can be lost at sea (Note. no boating accidents) without internet data so most of the benefits i would use would be lost. Having members that do post large amounts of sales could be more effective / successful following one of the above methods. I wonder how many visit the forum and go to @arshimo2012 automatically looking for a great deal as a first port of call? I know i do! I only buy now. I sold a batch of coins about 7 or 8 years ago and regretted it but it did get my gold stack/collection going. Just my viewpoint.
  20. I'd find a large movement in spot silver price highly unlikely but a steady increase in the price of gold totally viable.
